    Cool Peter Pan Ride

So Im just curious why in Fantasy Land the Peter Pan ride is always so much more crowded than the rest. Its almost a study in human behavior, although I do think its probably the best of those 4 rides, it always amazes me how crowded it gets when the rest are pretty much walk ups.

This morning we walked through there, it was a 20+ minute wait, the other 3 rides had no crowds at all.

So what gives, is it simply that its the first ride to your right when you come through the castle?

It is also partly due to the fact that it is a truly unique experience. It is a hanging ride which gives you the feeling of flying.

Simple though some of the effects are, they are beautifully and gracefully executed.

It is just an all around really good attraction.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

    Re: Peter Pan Ride

Peter Pan's Flight is such a popular ride because of the fact of going to Neverland and not growing up. Even adults can be kids at heart. Also because Peter Pan and Tinkerbell are popular characters.

There is another factor to account for things. Both Pinocchio & Snow White cars can handle more people. This means that they can load more and have more people per hour than Peter Pan or Mr. Toads. This gives them shorter lines.

it is my all time favorite ride. I think it is because it is more of a fantasy than the others.
Going to Neverland and flying with the help of Pixie dust. Pure MAGIC. That is what Disneyland is all about.

Plus it's the least terrifying out of the others... Snow White, Mr. Toad, and Pinocchio all have some pretty scary aspects that makes it so some kids (i.e. me when I was little) don't want to go on it.

Ever make out on a pirate ship? THAT'S why the line's so long.
My adventures in Wonderland began when I followed the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole. All of the sudden--I fell! Down... down... down...

The whole "flying over London" concept is the main draw.

Still, I question the knowledge of many of the tourists in line as they enter a 40+ minute queue on busy days.

The ride itself is a mere 2 1/2 minutes long.

    Re: Peter Pan Ride

Of all the rides in the park Peter Pan is the one that requires the most strategy to avoid a hellacious death march through a 45-90 minute ride queue.

Other than trying to ride it first thing in the morning or right after fireworks I've never found a good time to get on Peter Pan's Flight without a bad line. One of the few things Disneyworld does better than Disneyland is having fastpasses for Peter Pan.

Hopefully the new iPhone Wait Watchers App will help us find a semi-lull around lunchtime, parade-time or dinnertime. Has anybody else identified good strategies for avoiding tough wait times in this line?

Just another testimonial to the realism and creativity of the attraction.

    Re: Peter Pan Ride

It always kind of cracks me up how true that is, that there's always a long line for Peter Pan, both at DL and WDW. One night at DL it was right around closing time, midnight, and there was still a 15 minute or so wait. I did it anyway, because that's still about the shortest you can get. lol
