What is going on Dec. 2,3,4?

I am surprised to find that the Disney hotels and a few of the hotels across the street are sold out already for this weekend.
I checked the Anaheim Convention calendar and don't see anything major that weekend.
It's the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving, so I didn't think this would be a problem.
Anybody know what's going on this weekend?

A lot has been happening at Disneyland since Friday. HMH opened to name a few so people from all over may have joined in its seasonal opening day activities.

The "Candlelight Processional & Massed Choir". It tells the Traditional Story of Christmas
in Song and Narration (by someone famous). I've never attended - Anyone with experience care to tell DaturaTB about it?

I saw the Candlelight Procession last year. This event can either be very enjoyable and moving or very boring, depending on who you are. A mass choir slowly walks down Main Street from Small World and they all line up on the levels of the train station (100's of them). Marie Osmond was the guest speaker last year. She would tell portions of the Xmas story, then the choir would sing a few songs.

I enjoyed it, although I thought Ms. Osmond's reading was a bit wobbly. If you appreciate mass choirs, you'll find it very rewarding. The whole thing creates huge traffic problems in the front of the park and it's a nightmare for anyone who doesn't care and just wants to get to the rides.

I heard rumors they may move it this year to the Fantasyland Theater or even the Hyperion Theater in DCA. Anyone know for sure...?

I've heard the same, possibly the Hyperion to shift some focus to DCA and also that it will kept in the park....
I've been fortunate to attend a few times, wonderful memories. It's a fabulous event!

When the event is held at the train station, is there a lot of unsightly scaffolding, risers and other equipment in that area? My visit is likely to take place Nov.29-Dec.5 and I would like to take some pictures of the area without special event equipment in the shots.

Hopefully it will end up in another location other than Main Street, although I'm sure a lot of you are wishing for the opposite.

When I took the 50th tour, the tour guide told us that the candlelight procession would be held at the Fantasyland theatre.
