How cold has it been getting once the sun goes down at DLR?

We'll be coming to DLR soon, and we'll be spending 3 days there (not in a row).

How cold is it getting at night (during fireworks and Fantasmic #2) in the month of July and beginning of August?

I think that when there aren't any clouds in the sky, once the sun goes down, all the heat escapes and it gets quite cold...is that right or wrong?

I'm asking so I'll know if we need to bring hoodies or not.

At midnight last night it was 71 degrees if that helps.

That's warm...were there clouds in the sky yesterday? If so, that might be why it stayed warm (the clouds trap the heat onto the earth).

Has anyone else experienced any cold nights at DLR recently? I know that 10 years ago, when I was there at the end of June...it was hot, hot, during the day, but as soon as the sun went down it was FREEZING because it had been a cloudless day/night.

I've never needed a jacket/hoodie at dl during the summer. I live in the high desert, we never have clouds and we always stay warm at night. Anaheim is a bit cooler, but not jacket worthy. It is very humid and hot during the day and that kills me. I'm used to very hot dry heat, not average high humidity heat.

Fall and Spring are usually the seasons where it gets hot in the day and cold at night. Because Anaheim in inland and towards the evening the colder ocean breezes move more easily into the area.

In the winter its just cold all the time and in the summer its just hot all of the time. But if you experienced this in June that makes sense since it is late spring/early summer.

Thursday night was slightly cool, Friday night I never needed a sweater, Saturday I left early but it felt the same as Friday.

Generally, from now until October cool evenings will be unusual and if it is warm during the day, you won't need sweaters at night.

As always, it's worse if you're wet so plan accordingly.

Thanks everyone for your replies...I guess I won't worry about bringing hoodies for nighttime at DLR...

But, we may have a beach party at an OC beach at night....and I think those still can get cold at night from the beach winds...

I wouldn't bring a heavy hoodie, but maybe a light jacket. Also, I don't know if you're one to spend two hours waiting for the fireworks or Fantasmic! but personally speaking, while sitting there I am always FREEZING. It shouldn't be too chilly if you're walking around.

If you get cold just huddle up with the Fantasmic! crowds, or cause conjestion in the poorly air conditioned castle walkthrough.

Or you can visit the Tiki Room torches.

Find magical ways to stay warm .

If it gets cold enough we can create additional complaints as to how vital Murphy is to night time at Disneyland.

I've gone a few times this month and by the end of the night I always end up wearing a light hoodie. Its very wise to bring one, especially if you plan on riding Splash Mountain later in the evening and need to warm up from your wet clothes.

I was there last week and I would have felt more comfortable at night with a light jacket or sweatshirt. It was not real cold, and I was OK in short sleeves, but if you're going to be in one place for a while in the evening (fireworks/Fantasmic/light parade) it feels a little better. Of course the problem is what to do with it during the day when it is so hot ... There is always the lockers.
