Upgrading from Deluxe to Premium AP while on payment plan?

We are thinking of upgrading the kids passes from Deluxe to Premium. Their passes are on the payment plan, but I'm just assuming you can upgrade just like any other pass and they will just apply the difference to your monthly payment? Or will you have to pay the full upgrade price to upgrade at that time?

you have to pay the difference when you upgrade on the paykment plan.

I asked them when I got Calvin his Southern California pass on payment plan. They said you would pay the difference.

Right, you have to pay the FULL difference front up. So you'll be putting down $120 cold hard cash per pass when you upgrade. Oh, and be sure to do it before August 3rd (I think) before prices go up!

^^^^

That is what our neighbors had to do. One shot at the financed plan.

Sounds like it would have been better to have just signed up for the PAP's from the start...

so you would put down the difference in cash, and continue to pay the same monthly amount for the old pass?

yes

You signed a binding agreement with Disney that says they will give you a certain AP and that you will pay a certain amount of money at a certain rate per every so many days. If one were to get the upgrade on the monthly plan then they would need a new contract. I guess it is easier for Disney to ask for the full price of the upgrade and it would encourage people to go for a higher level than they need. They want people to pay that $10 a month even if they do not need that upgrade. People plan a head and figure $10 a month is better than $120 at once so they upgrade when making the contract to do monthly. That means Disney gets some customers to buy a level they do not need.

Bingo!

The primary reason for adding the finance plan for the AP's.

And the guests are eating it up...
