Double-Decker Summer <3 Funtastic!

and hello it's SingingAngel!
and we are doing a double commentary trip report!

He wants me to point out that I typed it and he just added commentary for me to say because he thinks it looks really girly. hahaha


I came to SoCal from Texas to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend, SingingAngel7242 = ) and celebrate hers as well.
Since it was my birthday on Tuesday I got in for free, but I also have a 3-day hopper from the military.
I put my foot down on 4 days... way too hot and exhausting!
So we decided on 3... my birthday (7/14), her birthday (7/16), and Sunday (so we could go to our first official meet).
DAY 1! Part 1!
We started our day, not early enough for rope drop since she just had to stop by starbucks on the way, but early.
We got to park inside the structure

The Omnibus was just sitting there...


My first ride on the omnibus!


We wanted to go to her favorite ride, Peter Pan, but took a detour

We hopped in line and the ride broke.

I insisted we run to Alice in Wonderland since I didn't get to go on it last time I was here

I have master photog skills! lol!


yup.. totally! haha!

She only got that awesome of picture because the ride stopped for a split second!
sometimes a second is all you need!

he loves the White Rabbit... but every pic we got of him came out blurry...

We next took a ride on the Storybookland ride since the line wasn't very long.

Then I dragged her on Pinocchio. muahahaha

We got a drink while taking a bow to royalty

We decided to walk through the castle

I discovered the most awesome place in the park! (the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-through handicapped room!!!
and I discovered awesome artwork!




DRAGON SIGHTING #2

We wanted to get some Splash fastpasses as it was getting hotter and hotter and while we waited we went on Pooh!






HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!


We went in the Pooh store

Tigger and Pooh showed up just as we walked out of the store and Tigger did a little skip/jig for everyone


There was no line, so we just HAD to take pix with them!

DAY 1! Part 2!!!
We still had time to kill before we could go on Splash so we went on Haunted Mansion!


Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!



Pirates was closed when we came by the first time, and it was still closed after we got off of HM so I took the opportunity to look in some NOS shops


We went for my first time to Pirate Island


oh look...he's trappd in a bone cage... *whistles to self*

I think he had a little too much fun playing with all the stuff. lol



If only this were real!


I think she wishes it were real too!



I told him to climb the tree so I could take a pic of him hiiiiiigh up above



Finally it was time to go on Splash Mountain!













my butt got completely SOAKED!!!! and it remained wet for 7 hours!!!!!

Now it was my turn to get a little excited...despite the soaked bum!

We started to make our way through Adventureland when he spotted Tarzan's tree house... I let him climb it...



I noticed this mirror for the first time




I also noticed this was really cool!
















We went and got fastpasses for Indiana Jones then I wanted to do a little more shopping in the Adventureland stores

I discovered the kewl toy gun projected a kewl skull!

I chose to illustrate this on his face. teehee!

DAY 1! Part 3!!!
We still had time to wait til we could go on Indy, so we went over to see how bad the line for BTMRR was. It wasn't bad at all

We grabbed some water at Rancho Zocala...they leave out little water cups! We used a lot of those! I heard the Mark Twain coming and I hadn't been on it, and she was starting to over heat so she could hide in the shade of the boat

I was dying from the heat so I had on the 2nd floor while he went up top for better looks and picture opportunities

hmm... not sure what you mean. None of the pix I posted were flash pix. My camera takes better pix on the natural lighting setting so I keep it on that. No flash used.

It was almost time for our reservation at Blue Bayou but we still had some time to kill

arrrrg! Davy Jones!


We went to check into Blue Bayou a few minutes early to see if we could get a water-front table. They told us it would be an hour and a half wait, so we just said we'd take a regular table. When they called us, the table they put us at was technically water-front as it was in the corner near the kitchen, but still next to the railing

She wanted to go camp out for fireworks but I said we have a long time and should go on more rides. We picked Matterhorn as our next venture

On our way we discovered a block in our path...

We saw the "parade" ... I like the balloon figures

When the parade cleared out we booked it over to Matterhorn before the crowds could flock it!

He left me in line while he went in a shop and the line moved quicker than he anticipated... I was frantically calling him to get his bum in line! lol

Great pictures. I loved the Story Canal ones. I have only ridden at night, and it looks very fantasy and beautiful. Fairylike, but it is very hard to see details.

Went on SingingAngel7242 favorite Fantasyland ride

I freaking love Peter Pan!!!!


Too bad it's so difficult to take good pix on the ride!

I thought the stars looked really kewl in this pic!



After Peter Pan, SingingAngel went to find us a spot for the fireworks while I went to find us some free water.

I was trying out my fireworks setting on my camera... didn't seem to work very well...

After the fireworks, we rushed to Fantasmic while crossing our fingers that the dragon would make a surprise showing...
