A poll already? We have what, a name of the overlay and thats it? We're going off of that?
Not exactly. There's been video shared on MiceChat of Hong Kong's version. On top of that others have described what the overlay is going to consist of. Seems to me there more than just "that's it?" going on here.
I am really excited for the change and the possibility for some TLC for the mountain. It used to close on a yearly basis for refurb and hasn't had a single downtime (for refurb) since the relaunch. All around, I think it will be a good thing! Though, I will admit I'm not looking forward to dealing with massive crowds >_< none of us really remember how to set up the extended queue! :P
I actually think the idea is pretty neat.. the only thing I am worried about is that the additional lighting may actually light up the track a bit since it's using the same infrastructure as the Rockin' Space Mountain overlay, which did make the track somewhat visible at times. Sorry if this has been mentioned already in this thread, if so I didn't notice..
I like my Space Mountain as black as it can get.
There is something about this, that's that's so black, it's like; "How much more black could this be?" ...and the answer is: "None, none... more black."

i really didnt like rockin space mountain, mostly because i could see the track. as long as the basic element of the ride is kept, the feeling of darkness and surprise is kept, i think ill like it. a ghost inside the dark could be really fun. but if it feels just like an indoor magic mountain ride, like rockin' was, i dont think ill be riding it.
"The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after." ~ An imagineer
Not only am I going to stand in line to see it but I am going to make an eleven hour trip to do so. I just hope it is done better than rockin' was. Two times on Rockin' and I didn't feel the need to go ever again.
The line won't be that bad as long as you have a Fastpass.
First thing I do when I get to the park is get a Fastpass for Space Mountain. Then after that probably get one for HMH. It's better than to be safe than sorry.
