    Blue Bayou

We haven't eaten at the Blue Bayou for many years but we decided to go there for our anniversary, Aug 2, while we are at Dl for the week. We have dinner reservations, so what would you recommmend we eat? or not eat? The twins will be with us and they are 6, do they have a kids menu?

Blue Bayou Dinner Menu -- Disneyland

This is pretty recent and should be accurate. The kids info isn't on there though I remember it having Mac and Cheese among other things.

I highly recommend the Tesoro Island Chicken.

IMHO, the prime rib at Blue Bayou is the best meal they sell inside the park.

My absolute favorite is the braised short ribs. My wife loves the brined pork chops.

    Re: Blue Bayou

I just looked at the menu listed above, and apparently they have taken the pork chops off the menu.

Also, I wouldn't eat the crab cakes. They are very ordinary and not worth it here.

Definitely a Flying Dutchman, those are awesome.

I recommend the gumbo as well.

    Re: Blue Bayou

I hate to say this, but we ate there two weeks ago. My wife had the Crab Cakes, I had the Jumbalaya....both very mediocre. The kids had the Beef "Steak" from the kids meal....not very good either.

The menu sucks in my opinion and the prices are crazy. Yes, I have been to BB more times than I can count, it was not a case of "Sticker Shock" for a newbie.

They have jammed so many tables in to the place that you feel like you can't move a muscle witout hitting the guests at the table next to you.

My bill, with tip, came to about $120.00 for two adult meals and two kids meals. For that kind of jack, I better come out with a smile....we even had a seat by the water.

And to make my day, when the waiter dropped off the bill, there were NO CHOCOLATE DuBLOONS (sp?) !!! I asked what was up with that, and the waiter told me they did not give those out any more. However, the waiter ran up to me as I was leaving and handed me a hand-ful of DuBloons from the store next door. We did have good service

I really like both the prime rib and the short ribs. The gumbo is fantastic too.
