    It's HOT!

Just got back from the parks just now and it's a scorcher. If you plan on going today or this week bring LOTS of water!!!!! But the parks were pretty empty, I managed to hit screamin twice and mania in about an hour so the crowds are really light.

Again! It'll probably be in the 90's all week. So bring lots of water to hydrate, I saw many people leaving because of the heat at 11 in the morning.

Thanks for the heads up! Weather.com says that it's about 88 degrees right now, but feels like 90 (this is in Anaheim). Looking at the 10-Day, it's going to be in the 80-90 range until 29th.

    Wait until August rolls around!

I can stand the heat... and if the crowds are light, I may have to go sometime this week!

    Thanks for the heads up!

Not only are temps high, but it's currently very humid here, which is abnormal! I just got into town (Orange) from Nor Cal last night, at close to midnight, and it was still VERY warm. Too hot to sleep; I didn't go to bed until 3 or so. Normally we have dry heat and it cools down quickly at night; not right now though! And the humidity magnifies the temperature and makes it feel higher.

Have crowds always been light on hot days. Summer's always hot, but I thought that crowds always get large during summer.

Used to be true, but now it's a common misconception!

In the mid summer, what used to be the absolute peak season for Disneyland (and theme parks in general), most APs (except for Premiums) are blocked out! Tourists now are also trying to find times to come during the year in the "off season" (which, unknown to them, almost no longer exists!), and are avoiding summer, which they think is the most crowded. As a result, summer crowds become very decent!

Also, inside of Disneyland, there is a lot less wind. On cold says, I find that I'm much warmer inside the berm. This probably works against us on hot days like this; Disneyland is kind of like a little closed in oven that bakes in the heat! There's only a couple of water rides and water play areas; not the first place I'd go on a scorching day (the first place I'd go is to the pool or the fro-yo shop!).

Only Deluxe and Premium passes are allowed now, which cuts back on summer crowds by a ton.

Mania wait times are steady at about 25-30 minutes during this summer, with some spikes of 45- to 50-minute waits, as opposed to a steady 50-60 minutes when the So Cal passes weren't blocked out. Now is the time to come on by. But bring an umbrella or one of those spray bottles with a fan. Oy.

There is an up side to it, the crowds get very light.

I was there about a week ago and there was almost no one there! until Fantasmic and magical of course.
