Talking Splashmoun10's July Photo Update (7/17/09---7/18/09)

I had a wonderful trip with friends and family this past week. Getting to be at Disneyland on its anniversary for my first time was really fun, and so was celebrating my sister's 22nd birthday the day after (july 18th) at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Oh, forgot to mention this, but these are the people who came with me: My sisters Kathryn and Stephanie. My brothers Johnathan and Scott. Our friends Aaron (aaronpaulcustoms on micechat) and Alex "Pocky." The second day, our cousin who was supposed to come the first day drove down with some of her family which was super cool. They even decided to stay at The Grand Californian! wow. During our trip, we also met up with 2 of Aaron's friends, pretty sure we walked by Hilsbro at one point, and Aaron stopped to say high to some other Micechatters he said were supposed to hang with us, but didnt.

I only regret one thing, and that is that I did not take as good of pictures as I took last time

At any time during this update, feel free to visit my Flickr homepage to browse my entire 427 pictures from this trip and download away as your heart desires!

    But nonetheless, here we go:

They are not being safe. See photo below.

    Waiting around.

The Plaza has darn good food. Finally realizing that (i never ate there before ha!)

Jungle Cruise to end the night.

Day 2 of my trip will be posted soon. Very soon...

As always bro, you have take some sick photos. For your night shots, do you take a tripod? Keep up the great work and keep on posting.

Thanks! Nope, no tripod. I just make the ISO as high as it can be (1600), stand still, and shoot away. Sometimes I use garbage cans or any kind of flat surface to take pictures though. In some lines, I use the top of the rope poles.

    And so Day 2 begins:

    Me.

    Only HDR from the trip.

This is a segment I like to call "Kids on Leashes."

AaronPaulCustoms adorns his Tiny Hat. *Photo inspired by the show "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job"*

    Bear!

Roger Rabbit broke down on us. The music loop turned off and completely killed the magic. It was horrible. So I stuck around after everyone left to get a nice picture

I was walking innocently, then looked down for fun, and this is what I accidently found...

    Pocky and Aaron. Yikes!

    The group.

    No no no Aaron.

    Bear 2.0

    These are sooo awesome.

    That's all.

    Hope you enjoyed the photos.

    The End.

My next update will be for Walt Disney World from Aug. 4---11th (if I decide to post it cuz it will be big; I didn't post one from last year b/c I was too lazy to go thru 1000 pics haha).

My next Disneyland update will be before August 21st as I finally will be going with my school friends (trip=4 years in the making).

On August 25th, I officially will be moving down south to the city of Orange to go to Chapman University (freshmen). I start classes on August 31st. Wish me luck! Since I will be living down there next year, you might even begin to see me at sunday meets or just meandering around the parks. We'll see.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Here's another photo to make this trip report complete.

Wow those are really superb pictures. I wish I could take pictures like that but I still have a lot to learn using a DSLR . I have a Nikon D90 and I see you also carry a Nikon. What kind of model do you have?

I have not test it yet but I saw this video on YouTube that may come in handy for all fellow photographers:

I have a Nikon d50. It's long been out of production and sale. That stabilizer looks like it could work, even tho it would be funny to use haha. Thanks

The 10 minute stand by picture is the most beautiful picture I've ever seen.

Comedy aside, that space mountain interior shot is just stunning. So too is the one of the lanterns in adventureland just infront of the jungle cruise.

Clear and crisp pictures you have here with a fun splash of color. Nice work.
