Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage & The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Adventure?

Is it just me, or should they be switched? I mean, California Adventure is sometimes advertised as a park with Disney/Pixar inspired rides, and since the lagoon is in Disneyland, it would make sense to have a classic movie inspire the re-themed submarines. Plus, it would be a perfect fit. The eels popping out at you when you enter the cave could be Flotsam and Jetsam, the sunken boat could be the one from the beginning of the movie, with the shark. Ursula could take the place of the giant squid. flounder would be one of the fish, and of course Ariel could be the mermaid! The only problem would be Ariel becoming human. There could be a scene where ariel and prince eric are in the water, and ariel has feet, and shes battling ursula, then she could be a mermaid again. and the nemo ride could be like the one in epcot, in WDW, which the new little mermaid ride will be based on anyway(at least the vehicles are).

Smart idea, it could've easily happened but budgets seem to prevent your idea (which is better).

Nah, would rather have TLM dark ride, as well as it gives more classic Disney to CA Adventure.

Yeah, but where do submarines come into the universe of the Little Mermaid?

How does TLM, or Nemo, in any way relate to the world of Tomorrow? Disney has taken what was a unique experience and turned it into a marketing blitz. It is no longer a journey through liquid space where you see the strange creatures of the deep and explore a world unlike our own. Now it is Nemo 1.5 direct to DVD to be enjoyed in the comfort of a cramped submarine.

The only way I can see it as an "E" Ticket is the sheer amount of money they wasted on it. I would prefer a unique experience... possibly using the stylistic designs of Atlantis... but not a movie or character tie-in. Let it once again be a journey of exploration... not an explotation of character drawing power.

It makes more sense to have subs in nemo witch takes place in a modern setting as apposed to little mermaid takes place in the 1800s. i think it would be much more strange to have subs back in that time hah

Yeah, well, maybe the submarines are from Prince Eric's kingdom? haha, still doesnt make sense, but I just think the rest of the ride fits in better.

I was under the impression in my mind that the que would be moved into Fantasyland.

Your valid argument about Nemo's content and its relation to Tomorrowland aside, this bit of your post can be applied to most of the Disneyland Resort theme parks in general.

The lagoon is quite clearly part of Fantasyland now. Just make it official, Disney, so we can get this pain over with.
