Speaking of Starcade how about removing it altogether.. it seems like a big waste of space when it would make much more sense to have an arcade in DTD than taking up so much room where a new attraction could go.

Realize there is a lack of space, but many Fantasyland rides could use this. To pick just one, I would have to go with Casey Jr. train. There is some room there and could at least use some shade and wider queue lanes.

That whole upper floor is such a waste of space. That X-Wing is going to waste because it's not an appropriate place to admire it, either. That area would be a prime location for a queue of whatever could take over the PeopleMover track, though, since it goes right through that building.

Either that or themed indoor Space Mountain queue. They could add stairs to get up to the Peoplemover track pretty easily.

Re: Which Disneyland Attraction's QUEUE Could Use The Most "Plussing"?

Fastpass killed the space queue, back in the days of the escalator marquee the queue was a whole lot more effective in generating anticipation and excitement with much less special effects than anything that they have employed today. I must have spent 30+ hours of my life total in the interior queue alone and nowadays I barely spend 5 minutes in it per ride. The saddest thing is the two story switchback where the big window that peered into the ride's interior used to be, it's totally patched up and feels clostrophobic now making people want to run through it even faster than when you could peer out into space waiting anxiously to get into the loading bay. Fastpass makes people rush through the corridors with little visual regard to their surroundings until you actually make it into the load bay where tons of rennovations have been done. It's easy to see where the priorities are now with the logistics of fastpass in the mix now.

I voted for POTC, but I'd change it to other, because I just realized that Space Mountain's queue should be rethemed.

They'll never add shade to the lines--they want you hot and sweaty so you buy drinks, ice cream, and those $16 water/fan bottles.

Definitely Nemo. There's no way I'm going to wait two hours in a queue like that.

Don't worry the line has dropped to 30-45 minutes.

Re: Which Disneyland Attraction's QUEUE Could Use The Most "Plussing"?

I read somewhere that the reasons behind the lack of outdoor queue at Space were due to structural integrity concerns. Honestly I don't know if this is true or not.

Most of Fantasyland's queue are plain switchbacks. A lot of them were designed when people were a great deal thinner and obviously they should be revisited. Casey, Alice, and Teacups all need to be expanded... King Arthur should probably have seating... preferably incorporated as part of the planter (aesthetics, not a fan of fold up seats is all).

Most extended queues, including Nemo, BLAB, and Matterhorn, are designed to be struck easily. Nemo's internal queue leaves a lot to be desired. Autopia bothers me mainly because the queue to me is just as disappointing as the actual ride. Pooh I rarely go on, and the majority of it's queue seems to be wasted space. Mansion could use some help in the back areas as others metioned. Thunder could use some shade... all in all though I think the queues are at the bottom of the list. I feel there are plenty of other projects that could use attention first.

Matterhorn, it just needs a better line area for such a good ride

It had a very cold, dark eerie feeling with real views into space; now that was replaced with a very modern fake looking space port with pictures of space replacing the actual thing. The guy explaining safety on the monitors looks like something out of high school musical, blah too modern for me.
I'll give you that the space window effects are terrible and the outdoor area could use some work, but the rest of it doesn't look "fake". Since when is is a negative thing for a Tomorrowland ride's queue to look modern? I think SM definitely has one of the coolest load areas, as well as a really creepy and awesome loop with com chat.

Re: Which Disneyland Attraction's QUEUE Could Use The Most "Plussing"?

Fantasyland Dark Rides queue lines:

Peter Pan's Flight needs more improvement principally on hot climate days. They need make the outdoor queue more indoor instead of more being outside. Instead of tents, it would be themed like Fantasyland. A medieval fantasy feeling.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is fine.

Snow White's Scary Adventures is both outdoor and indoor. So it is fine.

Pinocchio's Daring Journey needs to have windows on the sides of the queue.

Guys, go look at pictures of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneysea attractions. Their attractions are very similar to Disneyland and WDW's counterpart. But, their are queues are mostly indoors, due to more space and due to Japan's theme park guidelines. Queue lines should all be indoors and that is great!
