Lightning McQueen & Mater in Cars Land: Drive-Around Characters

After the movie came out, they had them drive out from the gate next to the Pacific Wharf and then drive up to across from Golden Dreams where they parked and did a meet and greet. I never heard of any issues when they did that. I would think they would do something similar to this in Cars Land. But it might be more difficult since Mater is supposed to be at his ride as an animatronic. I guess Lightning McQueen could be around though..

Ah. Well, If Mater is a permanently fixed AA that interacts with guests at his attraction, then it wouldn't make sense to see him anywhere else.

Actually, they'll allready have two maters, in radiator racers, and at his ride. McQueen will also be an AA at racers, but look at Disneyland-Buzz Lightyear is a permanently fixed AA in his ride, but he walks around Tomorrowland all the time. In Fantasyland, the characters walk around, too, though they interact with people on their ride as well.

Haha xD I always think the real reason they took the ears off of Screamin' is because they can't have two Mickeys in the park at the same time, let alone right next to each other. =P

Ah, makes sense now. Although you ride the horses on the carrousel. But you're supposed to ride them. They're horses. You're not supposed to ride the animals depicted in DCA's carousel.

Actually, Mater & McQueen came out from the Paradise Pier Gate and would park for ~20 minute sets. When it first started, they had a Rust-eze salesman with them.

Oh, that's true, I think if anyone over the age of one tried to ride an otter, they'd squish it. =P

If they pull out all the stops and really make this land terrific, it will be the first time anything opens in the second gate to more than a lackluster guest reaction.

Really? cuz I have the feeling they're putting a lot of eggs in the World of Color and Little Mermaid attraction Baskets as well.
