In Search Of . . . the Creatures of DL, Universal and Sea World!

July 20th, the plans this day were to explore an area approximately 90 miles south, this day we were In Search of some more aquatic creatures! The fog was thick but started lifting as we approached the ocean. Our first stop was to explore the oceanside, and word was that a small store could give us some direction, as well as some charming cute souveniers!

Two well know explorers have made this shop their home. Unfortunately, they were just at the tail end of one of their various adventures, and would not be arriving back until the following day.

We couldn't resist this miniature island with 4 giant floating fish, with the hope that we would one day see the proprietors of this store, by the ocean!

We did do a little exploring of our own

Once again, we ran into two more of the random Hieroglyphs

Then we were back on the road to our main destination for the day!

This location was promising for aquatic creatures, in the World of the Sea

some of the sea creatures would even pose with you, while you're entire family sat on their back!

Even a few common land animals made this area, their home. A place where they can stretch their wings.

And because, whenever possible, all photo reports should include a picture of a baby duck!

These sea creatures were

battling with the winged creatures for food.

on a return trip, something had ruffled the flamingo's feathers!

Two of the things we were searching for near our base camp, were located at this Forbidden Reef - the sign didn't fright us explorers away!

The Otters were at rest, but when they are swimming around I love watching them.




And now we move on to Penguins (who love to play follow the leader)















and Polar Bears!









And of course the biggest show in the (sea) world!

Just a few more pictures of some collectables at the Disneyana Store and World of Disney. In particular, there were two new sets of figures, the first was princesses and fountains/wishing wells:

The 2nd set of figures/busts feature pairs of good vs bad. I particularly
liked the Ursula figure ~ and note, we FINALLY found Flotsam and Jetsam
in Disneyland.

these couple of figures have been on display for at least a couple of months. The HM organist and the HM Hitchhikers. Both of these go
on sale at the HM event in September.
