California Screamin' using 6 train operation

Screamin' I was there last week and screamin' went down at 12:00 and came up at 2:00 with six trains. Of course green #7 didn't have music but all the rest did. I noticed there were two trains at the station, one outside, one on the launch, one on the drop #2 and one on The bunny hills.

Yea, I was there yesterday and I saw they had a new purple train

They've had a purple train for a long time. They had two, but one crashed and was sent off site. As far as I know it was never returned. Does anyone else have more information on that train?

I say all for 6 trains. Mistakes happen and thats that. Maybe they shouldn't have gone on the ride by themselves? You can't blame Disney for that.

Kinks obviously need2 to get worked out but I think it went well. It's good to see they are trying to do this again. Remember that 6 trains ran perfectly fine in 2001 so this is not new...

The only thing I did notcie was timing. They seemed to have issues with that. There would be times where 2 trains would be at launch and then other times when there wouldn't be any and then one would come down and immediantly launch. Just a small kink I'm sure they are working out.

Screaming just needs to be reprogramed it and space mountain have horrid track records, we can blame disney for that. or what they could do is put a sign up saying how many are being run on the track that way you can chose. I would be fine with that.

When I was on the red train last Sunday we were pulling up to the brake zone right before the bunny hills, and the audio cut. I thought we had broke down or something. But it turned back on at the top of each bunny hill before turning back off again. O-o Then it cut again all together.

They do. They had 5 running this afternoon, and I rode in yellow. :P They also had 6 running around 11:00, but they took a green one off right before I got on.

So it looks like 6 train operation is becoming fairly common on Screamin'...

On a side note, a little birdie told me the Monorail is gearing up for 3 train operation and has been testing red as well as three train operation at night so we will see but I predict that happening very soon also

On Mint's Magic Eye, there is a small mention of the attraction running with 6 trains. It is stated that it was a test to see if the attraction could handle 6 trains when the weather is hot because the thought is that there might be a lot of people coming in when world of color comes and mermaid that warrent a full operation. And so they want to be ready for that.

Thats a good reason. When the WOC debuts next spring, DCA will have very large crowds. I'm not too sure about the new mermaid attraction since people will want to ride that instead of screamin for a while when it opens in 2 years.

They have 7 trains.

Well they HAD 7 trains. One was involved in the accident and was removed "temporarily". As far as I know, that 7th train, Purple, never returned...
