It's especially amazing that a one day ticket has gone up 67% over the past eight years...

Also, $20 more for the Deluxe and $40 more for the Premium... I'm trying to decide if it's worth that extra $40 for me...

My birthday is coming up...I wonder if this hike means a larger birthday fun card?

wouldn't do it for me. i like having a Deluxe AP because it's pretty much an Annual Pass with a built-in Warning for the days that would be too busy to enjoy the park otherwise because it blocks them out (more or less).

and THANK YOU to the OP for this info, had a lot of people inquiring me for it.

At this point, I probably won't renew my PAP when it comes up in February and am strongly considering cancelling my two planned trips for the rest of this year.

    O.o great........more money.....out of my back pocket......
Good for disney, bad for us. Oh well, I guess this is a way to weed out 800,000 AP's right?

It appears to be a move to discourage Deluxe and PAP from monthly... which makes sense because by purchasing either one you step around the majority of blackout dates (for Deluxe) or eliminate them (for PAP).

It would have made more sense if they simply did not allow the purchase of either on a monthly plan. This would ensure that even if people got AP's "on the cheap" they would be held to the blackout dates. If they wished to upgrade to Deluxe or PAP then they would need to pay off the AP entirely first.

Pretty stupid to raise the one-day ticket prices during this economic downswing and when it is obvious that Saturdays are not crowded with tourists. I mean, do they think that Disneyland tickets are price inelastic?? No, they're not, not when there is an alternative that lets people enter Disneyland for $21/day (PAP'er coming 20 times in a year) or less.

If anything, one-day ticket prices should be LOWERED. This will also make the AP prices look too high by comparison, as the ratio (AP Price) / (One-Day Price) is a deciding factor for some.

Wow! 40 dollar increase on the Premium! Mine was supposed to expire on the 19th of August and I was planning on going and renewing the day of. I'm so glad I renewed it over the mail instead already. I saved 20 bucks plus the 40 dollar increase so its like I saved 60 bucks. Didn't want to at first because I had to go to the Post office and buy stamps, and all the hassles I hear about renewing over th mail but I got my new pass in the mail today! =D

That's a surprise to me. I'd have guessed they would have raised the lower three tiers at least 12 to 15%, increased the Premium AP a token 4-5% or so, and left the single tickets alone.

Wanting to eat the cake & have it too, perhaps?

Why aren't you guys complaining about the admission ticket price increase? Isn't America's economy bad enough? Yes, more money for Disney, but they should used that money to fix and clean up the attractions, not to spend it on mostly campaign promotions, merchandise, and advertisements.

With the financing option I expected large increases. Althout I thought the So Cal APs would go up by more than they did.

Does anyone think the $20 renewal discount for DAP/PAP will change?
