Highly doubt that. Per the updates on both miceage and mp, screamin is still being tested by disney going thru osha's review or instructions. And wont be open for a while yet.

FYI, there was report on MP today that it may open this weekend. This was based on insider DCA CM info.

Ok understandable. I missed that report. But do consider the source. Its well known how often and how much rumors run rampant around that place. Remember about the loop on Space Mtn? Uh huh.

    Re: California Screamin'

Let me post something I just said over at the MP thread in regards to this...

Note, DOSH has NOT approved the ride for public use.

They did release the attraction to allow Disney to make needed repairs and other things DOSH asked for as part of their investigation.

DOSH will have to come back to the park, and inspect/approve the changes Disney made before any member of the Public will be allowed to ride. Plus, the DOSH report would be released to the Public at that time.

I can understand Disney hoping to get the attraction back up and running by this weekend, but I have not heard from any CM that they have been scheduled to work the attraction, and you would figure that they would be scheduling if they expect it up and running for guests.

That's because CM's wouldn't want to give any hint of whether it was going to open or not. We are not willing to risk our jobs just so one guest can have some insider information.

Also, as a Disnoid, wouldn't you want to be surprised for once?

I was there this afternoon, they had 4 trains running, but were not stopping, or creating any type of brake problems....

I also saw someone working Maliboomer around 5 PM

I don't think I wanna go on it for a long time until I forget that it was involved in an accident. Call me strange or paranoid, it just spooks me a little.

Oh I can't wait to rise Screamin' again. It has been too long.

There was a report on the local NBC tv news this evening that said it might reopen real soon. Something about computers and retraining CMs first.

    Re: California Screamin'

I was there on Sunday and they had yellow train running but stopping in the brake zone right after the loop, above the Paradise Pier boardwalk games, and the zone right after the bunny hills. It's amazing how loud it sounded when the train hit the brakes in those zones. It was also pretty interesting listening to the announcements they were making over the PA system around the ride. "Stand clear, yellow train is motion...Yellow train beginning launch sequence in 3,2,1..." And the train would launch and all you could hear was the hum of the motors instead of people screaming.

Note, Alex Stroup of MousePlanet.com talked to the spokesperson Friday morning (aka this morning, 10/7) of the California Department of Industrial Relations, who handles the DOSH agency.

The spokesperson stated that DOSH is not done with their report and they have not yet signed off on the ride. He would not say whether they have required any modifications from Disney.
