Does anyone else here think that Cars Land should be called Radiator Springs instead when it opens? The name "Cars Land" just sounds so generic and since the land as a whole is meant to resemble Radiator Springs in the movie, why don't they just call it that? And plus Radiator Springs, if I'm not mistaken, is located in California in the movie so it would fit perfectly in the California Adventure theme.
I think Cars Land is an unofficial name, since the E-ticket ride will be called Radiator Springs Racers.

Radiator Springs is actually NOT in California. I watched the movie for the first time this weekend (for some reason it is the only Pixar film I missed) and was shocked to find the many references made by Lighting McQueen about "getting to California." That would place Radiator Springs Somewhere in Nevada perhaps???
That got me thinking...why the heck is it going into California Adventure? Has this been addressed before?
Oh, and yes, Radiator Springs is a MUCH better name than Cars Land.

He says it multiple times to (what's her name "Sally?") and to mater I believe and no one ever says you ARE in California...I think its clear Radiator Springs is elsewhere.
Pixar is all about details and I dont think they would have overlooked that.
i think McQueen means "getting to California (Motorspeedway)". that's just the way i interpreted it while watching the flick this weekend.
and while i was watching, me and my sis wondered the same thing! Cars Land sounds like a toddler on the autopias lol

Well even if Radiator Springs is not supposed to take place in California, I still think it is a better name than Cars Land.
It's based on numerous stops, but it does in fact take place in Arizona.

We already have Bugs Land and Hollywoodland. Just call it Radiator Springs. That's what the land is anyway. It's Radiator Springs. Does every land actually have to end in "land"?
Exactly, I mean, sure, Walt disney had many DL lands end in land, but some didnt. Look at NOS or Main Street.
I've brought it up before but I really do not have a lot of faith in limiting the entire land to one movie franchise. It doesn't leave room for anything else once the popularity of the movie itself fades away... Flicks Fun Fair is a great example. Sure the kids love the ride itself but I always hear kids asking who the various static Bugs Life characters are...
At least with something as open as Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland etc. you can add in pretty much anything that has a relation to that theme... with a movie it's movie or nothing!
