Day two got a bit of a slow start as we were still very tired. Stayed in the park til closing the night before and got up at 7:30.
I was plenty ready to go so decided to nag Jessica to get a move on. She didn't really appreciate it.
Once we got into the park, we grabbed FastPasses for Space and started heading toward Matterhorn. On the way we decided to watch the Jedi Training Academy.
Tried to sneak a picture of Darth Maul...
...But I got caught. I must say he is VERY terrifying, I wanted to cry. He growled at me and walked away looking disgusted with my taking his picture.
After Matterhorn, Jessica pointed out that she had never rode the Casey Jr. Train. I decided that was unacceptable.
We tried getting in a cage but they were full. Jessica was so enthused with the speed, she decided to put her hands up.
After our exciting train ride, we made our way over to Big Thunder. Jessica didn't know that they had the pardoned turkey there so we stopped and watched him for a while. Then we decided to just go in and look at the rest of the animals.
The goats were really not interested in playing with the kids. They are soo cute.
We went over to say hi to Maggie.
But Maggie wasn't in the mood to say hi. She wouldn't even look at us, it was sad.
Snapped a quick picture of Pocahontas on the way out. Odd name for a donkey, but whatever.
We made an amazing discovery while standing in line for Big Thunder; the backside of water also exists over here.
Jessica was getting dripped on standing there; she didn't find the fridged temperature to her liking.
This sign made us wonder where we should go next.
While waiting for our train to arrive, we thought about where to go. It didn't take us long to realize our FastPasses would be up soon and we should head for Space.
Upon our arrival, we recieved one of those nifty lanyards. Apparently the CM's don't know us very well; giving us things to play with is a bad idea.
Space bamf 'staches!
After Space, Jessica decided she wanted a 'frozen' lemonade. We headed off to NOS to get her one. I didn't feel like standing in the line so I wandered over to snap pictures of Mansion's FP area.
Gotta love seeing angel statues doing the facepalm.
Jess decided to enjoy her frosty beverage above some strange tomb. Not sure what it is but it's an interesting thing.
Then we finally found our favorite Haunted Mansion CM; the lovely Brooke!
We decided to check out Tarzan's Treehouse. Pretty cool view from up there.
Jessica's still enjoying her lemony treat.
Mansion and ROA.
Found Mrs. Potts and Chip!
A perty waterfall!
On our way to DCA, we noticed a mommy duck out with her babies by Frontierland. I had to stop for pictures; afterall, what's a Disneyland TR without a few duck pictures?
One of the babies was quite the daring little guy and went for a swim without mommy.
After leaving the duckies to their duckyness, we noticed that Bert, Mary and the band were infront of the castle, so we stopped for a moment.
We immediately regretted the DCA decision. DO NOT WANT!
Jessica and her quick thinking said we should head to Turtle Talk to escape the violation of our ears. This picture didn't turn out well but she wouldn't let me have a re-do so I made do with this one.
After Trurtle Talk, Jessica wanted to make another attempt at a Tower picture. Her, she is smelling the sweet smell of victory since she got me to go again.
We couldn't hold our pose so we decided a third attempt later would be neccessary. I was beginning to think it was all a conspiracy. But I must say I overcame my fear of the ride and didn't mind so much.
We hung around DCA a little while longer. We rode Monsters Inc and hit Muppets again. Then it was time to head back to Disneyland for our reservations at Cafe Orleans.
We had to run to get there in time because Celebrate was starting up and we couldn't get across the street. Jessica was quite eager for something to drink. She decided eating her ice was a good idea. "Hey Jess, ice is cold."
Jess got the three cheese monte cristo. She loved it.
I got the chicken ceaser salad; my fave.
Mel called right as food got there.
After getting off the phone, she finally dug in.
When we were finished, we headed to Mansion again. I loved the lighting they had going on.
We then went to hit up Pirates. Jess had to do her pose.
A pirates life is not for us if it means the back row is a swimming pool. The back row had about two or so inches of standing water. Our shoes were soaked, the bottoms our pant legs were wet, it was just all bad.
We do not approve of water in our boat.
After Pirates, we ran around doing everything we already did. We rode Jungle two or three times in a row because we love it so.
At around 11:40, Jess mentioned that we hadn't done Small World yet. She looked really happy to be there.
Just for you Momma Pengy!
After Small World, we headed back to the hotel and hit the hay.
Finally in comfy clothes and out of shoes.
I was beyond tired. I was way overdue for sleep.
That's it for day two. I will get working on day three tomorrow.
