What is the worst place you have been stuck on when a ride broke down?

My own personal worst is when Pirates had just opened for about 2 days after their refurb. My family and I went on with about an hour line (it was short for that time) since we had nothing to do before the fireworks. We waited and got on like any other ride. Then it broke down right in front of the house where the slow banjo music plays. Right in front of that house and we were stuck there for 45 min. listening to that before we could evacuate. They didn't turn it off or tell anyone anything for those 45 min. until 2 CM's appeared and we were led out. Luckily we got the waiters are the Blue Bayou to throw some candy at us which was pretty good.

Hhhmmm... Cant say I've ever been stuck on a ride for more than a few seconds, but 45 mins? Wow...

How did they get you off the ride? Sorry, I'm just curious. I've never really been stuck on a ride for a long time. I've been stuck on a few rides but we were going again pretty quickly. I've only been evacuated from one ride and within ten minutes someone came and got us off (it was on Splash Mountain and it didn't get annoying)

I've been stuck in Pirates in the armory scene for a good 10 minutes or so. I was positioned right at the "bullet splash" effect, so I got a nice squirt of water every few seconds. That was without a doubt the worst breakdown place.

Alice In Wonderland: hmmm.... umm on alice in wonderland, the ride had an e stop and couldnt reboot or something like that, and it was sumwhat in the beginning where going through the golden afternoon part.... i was bummed cuz we waited so long for that ride(30) and got through about 20% of the ride, waited 10 mn. to get off

California Screamin': long time ago in late 2006 or in 2007, cant remember, but right at the leveled part near the sun wheel and b4 the ups and down portion is where our train stopped. the roller coasters down at the station got to close and had an entire 40 min evact proccess. 30 min to wait up there, 10 min to get down. we all where let out the cast door that is now in between tsmm and games on the boardwalk.

splash mountian: weelllllllll not exactly an evact but 4 like 3 to 5 mins we were stopped in the show building right b4 the small lil slide, the very first little slide thing.... but ya

I've never been stuck in an attraction long enough to be annoyed (or evac'd!), but I can tell you the best place I've been stuck: the HM ballroom! In all likelihood, it was just the doom buggies being stopped so a handicapped guest could get on or off, as it only lasted half a minute at most, but I was loving it. The ballroom invariably leaves me wanting more, and this time, I actually got it!

Datameister, that really is a good place to break down. I love your positivity! (I'd love to be stopped in the treasure room in POTC, btw.)

Never been broken down for a significant amount of time before. However, one time on Indy, just after the boulder finale but before you see the final Indy AA, we stopped in the dark. The soundtrack finished that cue and then we were just sitting for about a minute and a half and nothing happened. No lights...pitch black, silent. It was actually a little unnerving. It would have been awesome if someone would have popped out and said "BOO!".

space mountain: the WORST. our car stopped towards the end when you get crazy g's in the last turn. it stops dead...doesn't slow down or anything. it was painful. then we had to sit there while they turned he lights on and the magic died as i looked down to see all the trash and junk on the ground. then we had to wait while a ride operator pushed us the rest of the way. by the time we got back to the loading area my cousin had fallen asleep.

pirates: got stuck in front of the talking skull and cross bones...got to the point where i could recite his speech by heart

superstar limo: got stuck in the room with whoopi goldberg....for far too long. not only that but as everyone was escorted out of their limos, our unflattering picture was permanently stuck on the giant screen

buzz lightyear: got stuck in one area and thought it was awesome cuz we could really rack up the points...only to find that once we finally got moving the scores reset. -_-

space mountain take 2: instead of being lead into the mountain by turning right, we turned left to enter a storage area with the loud soundtrack still blasting from our speakers. we looked at whiteboards and chairs while covering our ears to try to stifle the deafening music until finally a ride operator turned it off and pushed us out of the room. then we had to evacuate and they crammed all of us into a cramped side room for about a half hour while they evacuated everyone and a cast member came to escort us to the exit. it was actually more exciting to be behind the scenes but i'm sure some people there thought it was awful

despite all this, i'm happy to say that i still love DLR and DCA more than life itself.

LOL, I've been stuck on that exact same part! Kept getting wet and what not. A CM came, with rubber fishing trousers on to retrieve our boat and slipped and fell down the "waterfall" to push us out to the exit. At first we were concerned, but he just hopped out the water while another CM came to help and him pushed us to the exit. We were stuck for about 45 minutes so they gave us FastPasses to Splash Mountain as we walked along the ‘backstage’ area of Pirates, witnessing a bunch of offices. Good job to the CM, even though we were terrified at first when he fell, but it gave us a good remembrance laugh every time we think about it.
Another time was when I was riding Space Mt. and it suddenly stopped, forcing the lights to turn on. A CM came and put the lap bars up for us and we walked along the tracks towards an exit. The CM stated for us not to rub against the tracks because they contained oil & grease. A lady ruined her dress through the walk-thru and we laughed all the while.

on my last trip to DLP, alot if rides we went on broke down

buzz lightyear broke down we waited for 2 mins then we moved about half an inch but it broke down again..
i was on big thunder mountain for the first time on my own, and at the dynamite blast where the rocks come in we got stuck for around 5 minutes , at the end there was 3 CM's at the top of the hill.

our first time on the new rides crushes' coaster, we had just boarded our shell and a woman dropped her jumper down the track so we were there for about 10 minutes...
we also saw space mountain break down twice.
the first or second time i went, we were on haunted mansion where we stopped while being backwards where the piano was playing by it'self and there was a crow with a red eye..
also while we were queueing for POTC the ride broke down..

Wasn't a ride. We were watching the MSEP by "iasw" when it stopped for, I dunno, 10 minutes, and we heard the same music loop over and over and over and over.......................

ive been stuck on midway mania before on my brothers birthday. AND WE WAITED FOREVER!!!!! and we got stuck at the Very end! thanks goodness for that atleast. and so over the intercom CM kept saying please wait 5 min. then finally they came and evactuated us. it wasnt a total loss because they gave us a fastpass that works for any ride in DCA and DL so that wasnt too bad.

Grizzly River Run, curve before the big drop, in full July sun for 2 hours.

They have to drain the entire waterway and then walk everyone off when the ride goes down. I looked like a tomato when all was said and done.

Our log stopped in Splash Mountain backed up 3 or 4 logs behind the biggest lift to the big drop. We were stuck right next to the speaker on the right with the "lament" song being sung by the female (mole?, mouse?) with the bonnet.

"...What can poor Brer Rabbit do, to keep from becoming rabbit stew?..."

That refrain looped about 40-50 times or so. I know it was probably only about 10 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. Everyone else on or log eventually could sing all the words perfectly before we started moving again. It was such a depressing (and loud!) place to be sitting, I was ready to jump for it!
