    Animation Academy now sketching....

I was in the 2nd group for sneak preview yesterday at 2 PM. Small group of twenty-two, more than half were children, lasted about 15 minues. We sketched Winnie The Pooh with Diane and Gino, the kids loved it! It was fun to hear the questions they'd ask and to see them walk out clutching and showing off their work.

I really need to do that one. I absolutely love drawing Disney characters!

I thought it was incredibly short and lacked much of any excitement or interest. I am sincerely hoping they're going to add some sort of short animated clip to watch before they officially open this show. It's not worth the time.

The show I participated in was 5pm on Wednesday 10/5 and had about 10 people in it. It's not going to garner much positive word of mouth.

I'll have pictures of it in my next photo update on Monday.

    Where is this? DCA?
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Just went last weekend. We drew Goofy. It's basically the same
"show" as in MGM, but they handle it slightly better (so that it fits
    the time).

It's interesting & repeatable, but miss seeing Mushu and Chris Sanders & co
show which used the sound capabilities of that room well.

Edit: yeah, it's in the Animation Building where "Drawn to Animation(?)" used to be.

uhoh... my wife will be drawn to this... (pun intended)

We actually have loved doing this thing. We've done it at Downtown Disney's Disneyquest and on the Disney Magic cruise line.
