Re: Muppets Part Of 2010 Promotion?

The Muppets are terribly underutilized, so maybe this is a good sign. I haven't even heard anything on the new movie in ages, wonder if it's even still happening?

The Muppets have very little to do with Disneyland, so it's an interesting choice for an advertising campaign.

I think it could be very effective if done well. Advertisements featuring Muppets in Disneyland could be entertaining in their own right. It's the kind of thing I'd seek out and watch on YouTube or Disneyland.com or wherever.

Could be a win-win situation. The Muppets get some much needed exposure and if people like me are willing to seek out the clips, Disneyland some gets free advertising.

This ought to be interesting. I'm not a huge Muppets fan (although I use to watch the Muppet Movie over and over again when I was 7, and I did watch Muppet babies), but if you have the characters, why not use them?

All this Muppet talk makes me wish Disney had gone through with the original plans for Block Party Bash, with the Muppets, Lilo and Stitch, Monsters Inc., Bugs' Life, and Mickey and Friends as opposed to the all-Pixar format we got.... it would have certainly been unique.

The Muppets are SUPPOSED to be overboard. They're the epitome of borderline insanity. Have you ever watched the original Muppet Show from the 70's?
