    Re: New AP designs...

It looks like the AP's are made of plastic.... are they? If they are you guys on the West Coast are lucky, the AP I hold for WDW is paper. According to Disney the "indestructible" kind.... but still for $400, I want a plastic card damnit! Lol.....

It seems like DL values their APs more the WDW, this is probably because DLs main source of guests during offseason are locals and APs

Yep, plastic... But am I the only one who thinks they have gotten thinner? They used to be harder, more credit card consitency. The ones recently you could almost fold in half without breaking them...
Honor those who fall under the sword.

Well I don't know what the benefit package looks like for AP holders, but I notice that every year they take away an additional feature or benfit from the WDW AP. And don't even get me started on their dining discount....... lame.

I still carry my old Goofy AP with me lol. I'm hoping next year when I renew in August they'll have another design so I never repeat my APs!

That Tinkerbell AP looks great, I bet my wife would love to have that one instead of the castle, she is a huge Tink fan.

Both the annual passes still are ugly and suck. I remember the days they would have new colorful ones that you would get randomly.

I was personally hoping they would do what they do with the park hopper tickets now and use the old attraction posters and either give you one randomly or let you pick which one you would want.

If you ask me, the new computer generated Tink looks all round and bloated. That needs to be remedied.

Yes, the AP's have gotten thinner. They switched to the thin cards about may or june 03. The reason they're thinner is that they can be fed through the ticket readers at the turnstiles. My understanding of it was that so people could have a more "interactive" experience while entering the park. It was probably a cost cutting move so they could have more gates open while having fewer cast members working the gates. But much to your liking/dismay, it didn't really come into fruition, and there is still a cast member at every open turnstile.
