I had one of these yesterday again as well... Fanta Wild Cherry. My boyfriend had the Sour Apple. I seldom drink an Icee-style drink and end up craving more after I finish it, but with these drinks I can't shake off the craving!

I've never tried one. I don't care much for sweets and all that. I would rather have fries or a pretzel. I rarely ever buy food from the street venders though. Maybe I'll a slushie one day.

Are these the same as the slushie type drinks sold at DCA by the Mexican food, sort of behind the tortilla factory?

I agree, something about the way it's mixing or something, it's the perfect combination. I don't like any other icee drinks because they're too icy. THese drinks have the perfect texture and combination of ice and flavor. My favorite are the sour ones. You can also get them in Toontown, next to Goofy's House. I think the Fantasyland ones are called Fantasy Freeze? I always call them that. My brothers are obsessed with Slurpees from 7-11, and I'm like, there's nothing like a Fantasy Freeze!

Are these available year round? Or just in the summer?

    Yeah... the texture is wonderous!

The stand is called Fantasia Freeze.

It would be nice to sit by the water back there at the shaded benches, but as that is a smoking area I steer clear from there.

nope, those are different. I know because when I was pregnant the ones at Rita's Baja Blender (behind the Tortilla factory) were the closest I could get to a margarita. These slushies are way better than those.

Mmmmmmm the lemon ones are AWESOME!!!

I especially love it on a hot day when you can feel the icy slush going all the way down to your stomach and you get that instant brain-freeze. Awesome awesome stuff!

Just 10 days away! Keep the stand open. I can't wait!

I love the cherry, the apple is great, if its being shared! Otherwise too sweet for my tastes. I wish we had discovered these sooner, I usually ignored the stand but on July 4th (my birthday) I finally got one and now Im hooked!

I think their probably manufactured from the same company as ICEE, Slush Puppies, and Slurpee (ICEE under a different name). The slushee industry is kind of a monopoly.

they taste and have a completely different texture, though. I think all slushee drinks are the same, like those you listed, but these are completely different.

Re: Anyone else love the icy slush drinks in Fantasyland?

while 7-Eleven licensed their product from the ICEE company and started selling them under the name Slurpee in 1967, ICEE still has more of a 'fluffy' and air-y texture, while Slurpees have more of a watery, crushed ice with liquid texture.. at least to me it does..

but i do love both of them
