Quick Question!

I've been ok'd by my doc to go to Disneyland on a crutch to support my foot with the boot and cast. I'm just wondering.. when I go on a ride like Space Mt or Haunted Mansion.. what do I do with the crutch? Will they hold it for me and give it back when I get off? Also, do I go through the disabled entrances or the regular ones?

I'm pretty sure that some of the CM here can give you more authoritative answers,
but here's my take.

* I think you need a notice from your doctor, but you can get a voucher
that allows you to use the disabled entrances at the City Hall.
* Either case, I'm sure that the CMs will hold/transport your crutches for you.

You'd probably want to go through the disabled entrance and I bet the cast members will either have you hold your crutch on some rides and they would probably hold it on others.

Thanks, maybe I'll ask City Hall when I get there since the next 4 weeks I'm stuck on crutches. I don't have any notes from my doctor but it's obvious I have a huge boot over my cast lol.

Sorry to hear about your foot! I broke my foot a couple of years ago... man what a hassle! I feel for you!

On HM you should be able to bring your crutches in the Doom Buggy with you. Other rides should have some system in place for just this event, i.e. when people have to leave their wheelchairs behind. Most of the queues are wheelchair accesable now, so with your crutch you should be fine waiting in the regular line.

We just went through this last weekend.

Go to City Hall and request a pass which allows you to avoid lines with stairs in them (no doctors note required). The newer rides like Buzz, Space Mtn, etc have lines that you can walk through, but some of the older ones like Thunder Mtn, Pirates, Splash Mtn, have stairs, so you can go up the exit to enter the ride. The CM's will take care of your crutches (put a label on them for ID purposes. we used a stick-on return mailing label).

Worked great for us last weekend.
