    Nightmare Before Christmas Ride Ideas!!!

ive read many times of a proposed idea for a Nightmare ride but was declined. well if it was approved what do you think the ride will be about? and it doesnt have to be complkeatly sbout the movie.

    my ideas:
    1. the ride will be going through different seanes fromvthe movie

    2. you are trapped in Oogies lair, and as you try to get out many traps try to get you as you escape...this one i had more time to think about cuz i thought it was cool..well all i got now is that the Que. line will look like Oogie's lair.

as far as I know it was gonna be your basic run of the mill dark ride that miniaturizes the movie for you. You would have been riding caskets and stuff

    Here's my idea,

You take the Haunted Mansion and have the NBC characters take over.

You decorate the outside of the house

And inside as well, kind of like this:

Sir Clinksalot idea rules. Imagine if they did that too but just for a few months out of the year!

That's a genius idea about redoing Haunted Mansion!

    Great concept art too!
Words any Disney fan and especially Disney employee should live by:

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
    -Walt Disney

"I do not like to repeat successes, I like to go on to other things."
    -Walt Disney

"We did it, Disneyland, in the knowledge that most of the people I talked to thought it would be a financial disaster - closed and forgotten within the first year."
    -Walt Disney

I am a huge Tim Burton fan, and Nightmare is a fun movie, and HM is my favorite ride, but I hate HM with the TNBC decorations. I wish it was its own ride. Here's more cenpt art for it

I think it would have been cool to ride in "coffins" and visit each of the holiday towns.

Sir Clinksalot, that's an idea of such outrageously bad proportions that only late-Eisner-era Disney itself could have come up with it! Are you sure you haven't been eavesdropping in Glendale or Burbank?

On a more serious note, I'd take any sort of year-round NBC attraction over one that takes the Haunted Mansion out of commission for more than a third of the year.

I like both your ideas... in fact, why not use both?
I also like the coffin. It would be cool if they were suspended like the pirate ships in Peter Pan's Flight.

I love Haunted Mansion when it's decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas style. I wish they'd keep it like that all year round!

Be careful what you say on this site. Don't be surprised if you walk out of your house to see some sharp shooters for that comment.

No, please. I like NBC, I really do. I even like the HM holiday overlay. (although I prefer the original) But no more. NBC is intruding into the halloween fireworks also, and that's more than enough for what is only nominally Disney anyway.

Re: Nightmare Before Christmas Ride Ideas!!!

I'd love the overlay to go away, as I am a HM fan as much as I am a NBC fan.

I think, however, an attraction wouldn't be suited in Disneyland, but perhaps even in a Halloweentown land of its own. Maybe even in a Studios park (so shoot me, I'm blue skying here, but studios parks really can hold anything loosely tying it to a movie :/). I really just don't see it fitting in Fantasyland (and that's where it'd belong if anywhere). Aside from a little poor execution, my main complain of the overlay is it collides oddly with the NOS surroundings.

Si vous voulez venir danser aussi, le ticket d’entrée n’est jamais gratuit.

Translation: There are people on this site who strongly prefer the ordinary Haunted Mansion over the holiday overlay (I'm raising my hand), so you'll find your suggestion won't be unanimously approved of, flyorpretend, but you're certainly welcome to express it as long as you accept the fact that some folks will firmly disagree - and welcome to MiceChat!

And when we mean firmly disagree, there are some on this site who will firmly disagree! I just suggest you don't bring it up around the "Long Forgotten Haunted Mansion Effect" threads.
