Maybe a Donald Duck birthday celebration parade of some sort? Just a guess.
Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
Those are great! Thanks for sharing!

Had to have been something for Lillian Disney I'd imagine since one of Donald's nephews is holding a sign in a car saying "Horray For Lillian"
When I first saw this picture I though it was the kids from Kids Incoprorated. I thought the one girl that has her arms pointing to theleft was Martika and next to her Renee. Where on the other side I thought the girl with the pigtail in back was Stacy Ferguson. To some of you that would be Fergie. But it isn't them.
I miss that Skyway.
"The old man's gonna knock on the sky. Listen to the sound."
Those pics are from the "American Gazette Parade". Disneyland did three of them in the mid 80s as part of the "Celebrate America" seasonal promotion.
That top pic was from the finale "Video" unit, and the last year they did American Gazette. The parade basically featured different decades of the 20th century with live music and dancers. I was in the second and third years of it.
Sure is bittersweet to see the Skyway up there.![]()
Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
You're pictures from the past brings to mind a Disneyland T-shirt I found when I cleaned out my closet last month. It's so old the label says "Made-in-the-USA."
Crazy Works For Me!
I remember having my old Disneyland Hotel tshirt as a kid. It depicted the Sierra Tower with the old "Disneyland Hotel" letters along the rooftop. At the bottom was a depiction of what used to be a new Mark V Monorail Red! I loved that old shirt a lot. It was probably from 1989 or 1990.
The parade pictures look kind of familiar, but then again, I thought of Totally Minnie when I saw the first pic since the performers had that '80s look.
.......
R.I.P. Skyways.
