These fires right now are nothing compared to the Chino Hills fires a couple years ago. Anywhere you were in the park, this was your view:

Here's what the drive looked like if you were headed through any of that area:

But, that's SoCal for ya. Really, you've got nothing to worry about.

Yeah, that fire was pretty bad, as far as smoke around Disneyland. This current fire is not nearly as bad. There is smoke in the air, but not too noticeable in Anaheim.

No, Disneyland is way far away from the southern most fire, which has been put out. It's several miles south and several miles inland and it's just surrounded by the never ending concrete suburbia of Orange County, nowhere near any forest fire areas.
Words any Disney fan and especially Disney employee should live by:

    -Walt Disney

"I do not like to repeat successes, I like to go on to other things."
    -Walt Disney

"We did it, Disneyland, in the knowledge that most of the people I talked to thought it would be a financial disaster - closed and forgotten within the first year."
    -Walt Disney

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
    -Walt Disney

Was at the parks today, no real noticable difference in air quality. It was pretty hot though...and less crowded than you'd think.

Just curious if anyone has seen our Martin Mars waterbomber from BC flying around down there dumping water. It's the big red and white flying boat. I'm just wondering if they're still sitting at Lake Elsinore or if they're seeing some action.

I could smell some smoke earlier tonight here in Irvine/Lake Forest. Nothing overly noticeable though. I just got home and the moon is orange....in fact I could barely see it......freaky.

But yeah, nothing compared to the past fires we've had. Our area anyways.

Re: Will fires in L.A effect disneyland at all?

We went when they had the Chino hills fire and it was bad, ash was falling all over the place.

We live right by the fires and our house was covered with smoke friday, we decided to head down to Anaheim and get a room at the Annabella so the kids could swim and get away from the smoke. We went to the park Saturday night and couldn't smell anything, but when we got back yesterday it was horrible at our house.

right now our whole house smells like smoke, even inside the fabrics of our couch.

Really? Down here in Mission Viejo last night I couldn't detect any sign of smoke in the air. The sky was nice and clear too. You can see the huge smoke cloud looking north (it looks a lot like an atomic bomb went off), but it's white which I think is a good thing. But other than that you can't even tell that the fires are going on.

You could see the smoke from the top of California Screamin', but they're nowhere near the parks (nearly an hour away)

Yea, that fire is way out there in the Glendale area isn't it? You would still be able to see the residual smoke from DL but in the case of this particular fire the wind seems to be carrying the smoke north-east:

So in this case it looks like Magic Mountain is getting it far worse than what DL could be getting, if anything.

I've heard that it is being used, but I haven't seen any pictures. The Station Fire is over 100,000 acres so I think they are using all available resources.

Yeah, it has been very hot in the last couple of days. I went to Disneyland on Saturday and it was very hot. The only rides that had lines were GRR! and Splash Mountain. GRR! only had a 20 minute wait and I got a fastpass for Splash Mountain since it was 60 minute wait. Many rides had walk-ons (BLAB, Star Tours, HM, POTC) or just had a short line of 25 minutes or less Space Mountain & Indy).
