Re: Long Exposure Fun - Sun 08/30

Beautiful shots. It's fun just playing isn't it?

I've been shooting professionally since 1991 and have lost some of that passion. I am going to do a photo day, alone in the park one of these days, just to have some fun with the camera.

I would always to time exposures in full manual mode. Don't trust the camera to tell you what you want. You tell the camera what you want!

Another thing to play with is an off camera flash. For example, on the monorail shot, if you have an on-camera flash, take it off to the side, on very low power. With the lens open, as the monorail goes by, pop a flash as it's at the right point for your composition. It will freeze it, while still allowing the blur. It may not be what you're looking for, but flashes pop so fast, it can freeze aspects of an image while allowing blur in other areas.

Again, very nice!

Great pictures. The lighting at Disneyland is so wonderful. I can never quite get over it... It is always amazing to me... Eveytime I see it, it is like with new eyes.I wonder what Disneyland's electrical bill is like everyday. Can you imagine?

Re: Long Exposure Fun - Sun 08/30

I find it ironic that you took almost the same exact pictures as me on the exact same night. But you beat me to the post.
