My video of Magical from Main Street 8/26/9

I mainly went through the trouble to record this for some friends that missed it. When there we were at the French Market and couldn't see though show.

Bonus, don't know if this is the park or someone having fun. In the foreground are a bundle of those glowing balloons. Don't know how much they cost, but 3 are released through the show, then all are let go at the end.

First few seconds are zoomed in, then I zoom out for mostly a full view with the castle centered.

For those going to see it soon, I liked viewing it from Main Street. It was never too crowded during my 5 days on August 23rd. This was the 26th I think. Plenty of room around me even at the last second and stood. Plus, I love the glowing confetti at the end there, not sure if they do it anywhere else at the park.

After, I rushed down to Fantasmic seating area and got a nice sitting spot near dead center, right of main control tower, 4 people from the water. Then about 40 minutes until start. Fun way to finish the night with amazing fireworks centered around the castle, then Fantasmic.

Again, I tried to keep the camera still with the castle center, and zoomed out enough to see everything, but not too far. Taken with my Canon digital camera.

Thanks for sharing that. The balloons are amazing! They're in the perfect spot too. If I remember correctly,those balloons are about $12 each, so that person just sent about $100 worth of balloons into the night sky! Maybe he/she always wanted to be part of the show, haha!

Glad I wasn't standing near those balloons for the whole show... it'd get annoying.

A little odd to waste them like that, doesn't it seem like just giving them to a child would be something better to do?

JMO... if I had $100 to throw away, I'd give it to someone else.

I was there that night! I was only a little ways back from you, too. The balloon lady looked like she had cash to burn so I think it was a nice little slpurge.

Well put this way she threw 100 dollars into the sky while Disneyland burned 20,000+ into the sky who did worse???? (I still love the show though)

Great shot TimothyB! I loved it.
It's not everyday that you see lighted balloons set free on Main Street, so to me, that was a nice touch. Can't wait to see the fireworks on Main Street during the Expo.

Heh, when I was there and making sure I had a good spot to record, I was annoyed. I was like, who the heck bought that many balloons and would hold them in the middle of a crowd trying to view the fireworks. Then when the first was let go, I was like, well, that's what happens trying to hold that many. But after the other two were released, maybe it wasn't a mistake. But I was totally caught off guard at the end. I lifted the camera up to record the confetti and luckily captured all the balloons flying off.

In the end, they didn't hurt my recording view that much, and in a way, made it extra special
