randomized drops and lifts at ToT

Why does only WDWs ToT has the "randomized drops and lifts" and not DcA ?

Because the TDO made it that way so there'd be at least one reason to go to DHS.

I've confirmed with a former CM for the attraction that the technology is installed, just not used. Not sure why. At their estimate it would take a day or two to get working once it's activated.

Come on! This would be a great reason to ride! The ride is too short and also this could be osmething ot help attendance in 2010 when World Of Color is not enough.

Probably because they don't want to close a popular ride for that long unless it's general maintenance. Maybe next time they do maintenance they should activate the technology.

A day or two? I think DCA could manage just fine

    ^I agree.
They could just close it in an off season... like right now... I wouldn't mind.
The randomized-ness of Orlando makes the ride so much better. I have every drop and up on the CA version memorized by now.

I also enjoy the Orlando version. It's nice not knowing what to expect each time.

But the thing is, does WDW's Tower have shorter and longer rides sometimes? I'd hate to go there only to have a random short ride.

^^ya... I went on the ride twice on my trip. One only had two drops and the second one and five drops and a perjection of some sort when we were falling. I didn't mind too much, it could go either way. The average of the ride length is still the same as the ca version all together.

Someday, I will work my way up to it. I used to be afraid of such rides as Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Mission Space just the green version, Test Track, and Star Tours, and now I have ridden all of those. So some day maybe I'll brave TOT.

The question would be from that is why are they not using it then. My opinion is it is not installed and won't be till past 2012 while the budget is thrown in random different parts of DCA during the expansion. If they even do add that feature...

It is in fact, installed. They were screwing around with it 2 years ago but they stopped after a week.
