^Mee too, they are very catchy. They don't need words to be catchy.

    (Well, I guess it helps.)

Not Disneyland, but... when I first rode the (then) new Finding Nemo ride at the Seas Pavilion at Epcot, I was surprised to see that at the end of the ride all of the characters sing a song about the ocean. At that point I realized it had probably been years since Disney composed an original song for an attraction.

It's not exactly the Sherman Brothers, but here's a youtube video if anyone's interested:

The era of originality and creativity has been extinct for a long time and will never return. Charish POTC, HM, IASW and the Tiki Room because once they are gone, they are gone for good.

And yet the creators of south park can create fresh and inventive new original songs 5 or 6 times a season. Go figure

That's actually the main theme from Finding Nemo: The Musical at the AK.

It's a great song, and that all original musical should be proof Disney still knows how to write catchy tunes.

(I find myself singing "Go with the Flow" and "In the Big Blue World" quite often)

Yeah, and Disney's own Phineas and Ferb has them in every episode .

Well, Disney did venture outside of its ranks to hire Robert Lopez (of Avenue Q fame) and Kristen Anderson to create the songs for the show. So I'm not sure how much credit you can attribute to Disney for that awesome soundtrack.

Once I wiped the tears from my eyes after my 1st (and only, to date) viewing of Finding Nemo: The Musical, I rushed outside to the merch cart to buy the last copy of the soundtrack CD.

    OT -

I got to see Lexy Fridell, who originated the role of Dory in Finding Nemo: The Musical. I reviewed her in local productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Spitfire Grill for the Santa Barbara News-Press. She was excellent in both roles.
