Hello Mice Chatters! This is my very first TR, enjoy!
I decided to kick off the Labor Day weekend with a solo trip to DL. For this visit, I wanted to take some time to observe the flowers and plants used in each land to reflect its theming as well as practice some photography skills. So, I took my trusty little old Canon and took lots of photos! I took so many, unfortunately I had to delete some as my memory card became quickly filled!
I arrived at the park at about 10:30 a.m. and was briefly worried that it would already be crowded. But, no worries, it was hardly crowded at all! Most wait times were 5-15 minutes, sometimes less.
First shot on my way to Main Street
Main Street photos...
A horse is a horse, of course of course
Too early for churros!
Yippee, no crowds yet!!
Some photos taken between the entrances to Adventureland & Frontierland
On to Frontierland
Big Thunder Mountain RR
Hey howdy hey!
Off to Fantasyland! The longest wait time was for Peter Pan at about 20 minutes. Best line overheard while waiting in the PP line (made by a young girl, about 9 years old) - "Why am I wasting 30 minutes of my time in this line for a baby ride?"
Time for a ride in the icy Swiss moutain!
Let's mosey on over to Tomorrowland...
After riding SM and taking a lunch break, I headed back towards Sleeping Beauty's castle for some shots. I took my time walking around the park as it was very hot that day. Water was like gold!!
I watched the duckies for a while...
Time for New Orleans Square, or as the natives say, Nawlins!
Adventureland adventures, athough this time I didn't go on the Jungle Cruise...
Back to Main Street!
I briefly went over to DCA before it closed, to visit the Blue Sky Cellar and see the exhibit. Afterwards, I headed back to DL to finally see Murphy spit fire and watched the last 10 minutes of Magical. The park really didn't become overly crowded until about 7:00 p.m. with folks coming to see Fantasmic! and Magical. After being showered with yellow Mickey shaped confetti from Magical, it was time to head on back to the LBC.
In closing, I have to say it was probably the most enjoyable solo trip I've ever taken to DL. Normally I'm with others when I go, but I am happy that I took the time to go by myself and enjoy the park even more. It was great to just stroll around on my own time, take breaks to people watch, and just chill out.
