Talking Re: What ride would you want to work at?

Would love to work Tower of Terror! Being able to show no emotion or negative behavior without getting in trouble is cool with me, as a Lego Land attraction employee if I did go to DLAND or DCA to work at the rides i'd prefer the rides that mask the sun, which is most! So it'd be a great change!

Re: What ride would you want to work at?

I think that I'd actually want to work at a ride that I don't really care all that much for out of fear that if I worked at one of my favorites, I may become rather sick of it.

To that end, my list would be made up of HISTA, Innoventions, Mulholland Madness, Mickey's Fun Wheel.

However, if you insist that I play by the rules of the thread, then I'd like to work on the Mark Twain.

I'd probably pick Indy. I love the queue.

    For me it would be the Horse Drawn Streetcars;

    1) Getting to work with those beautiful horses.
    2) Not alot of guest impatience to deal with (or so it would seem).
    3) My little girl would be with her daddy everyday at work (she loves the Horse Drawn Streetcars, a guaranteed choice for her on every trip).

I sort of agree with you. If I worked at a ride I loved, I might lose a little bit of that love or fascination with the ride if I see it daily. The beauty and awesomeness of DL is always there, but I do only visit it 5 or 6 times a year. If I was there everyday on my favorite ride, will the magic wear off or grow deeper? I don't know!

Storybook land because its more interactive and I would not have to worry about being funny like on the cruise...

Re: What ride would you want to work at?

As a former CM, my favorite locations were Small World, Autopia, Steam Trains, DMV shifts in the old Lot, and Matterhorn. Casey was kind of fun too, and the dark rides were okay. Space was a little loud for my taste.
I liked Small World because it was constant motion, kept you busy, but you didn't have that same constant possibililty of a back up>break down like you did on Matterhorn, Space, or the dark rides. Was more relaxing. Autopia was cool as it was outside, you could listen to the music of the area, and it was active.
Steam Trains was about the guest interaction. Driving trams in the old Lot could just be challenging at times, which made it fun. Matterhorn was just a classic that was also quick moving, but less stressful than Space.

The ones that would have been cool to work: HM and Pirates (just because they're classics, and seeing the backstage aspects of the attractions would have been cool....the mechanical aspects of the attraction as well as the evac routes etc.) and Mark Twain.

Re: What ride would you want to work at?

This is probably just an urban myth, but my friend's dad who used to work the subs once told me that casting assigns you to a ride based on your looks. For example, someone with dark hair and a light complexion would work HM while someone with long legs would be in Fantasyland, so as to make the lederhosen look attractive Once again, probably not true, but a fun concept!

If I had a choice, I would fosho go to HM! The dresses are so elegant And spewing out death-related puns would also be a blast!

I'm not too well versed in how Disneyland was run way back when....but I have heard that their standards for hiring were a lot stricter than they are now. Cast members were supposed to be the ideal person, aka not overweight, clean face, etc. There are of course still rules in place as far as hair length and such, but I think if what you said isn't a myth, then it would be from the older days of Disneyland.

Re: What ride would you want to work at?

Why are so many people saying Indy? I mean, all you would do is stand in front of the queue all day telling people that the ride's broken down.

Anywho, here's my top 10 choices:

    Jungle Cruise
    Tower of Terror
    The Haunted Mansion
Storybookland Canals (next best thing to JC)
    Grizzly River Run
    Soarin'
    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    Radiator Springs Racers
Subs (it's so darn peaceful down there!)
