Pool hopping at the Villas and the Grand

Being a local DVC member we are planning a 3 day trip to DL during October for Halloweeen Time. Eventhough the Villas will be opened to DVC members we are staying at GCH (just one last time!). Can we enjoy the Villas pool since we are DVC members?

I don't believe the GC Villas pool is finished yet.

Here is an email from DVC Member Services in regards to pool hopping.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Member Services.

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are part of the
Grand Californian Hotel so any Guest staying at the resort may use the
new Mariposa Pool. You will not be able to use the pools at the
Disneyland Hotel or Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.

Would love to see pics of the NEW Mariposa Pool. I remember seeing the artist rendering during the tour last summer, did it end up as spectacular as the model?
