Re: The Little Stuff

One detail I always loved, but now miss, were the claw marks all over the floor on Country Bears.

I just heard the "Main Street voices" myself for the first time this last time down--in fact, I was on the phone with my wife while the "tooth extraction" bit was playing, and she wondered where I really was.

LOL. Their is also a small snail in POTC somewhere. I just saw it on the "Pirates in the Park" bonus feature on Disc 2 of POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl. Also on POTC the ride, a parrot sings "Yo-Ho Yo-Ho A Parrots Life for Me" as the Pirates sing "Yo-Ho Yo-Ho A pirates life for me." I like the parrots version. You can hear small snipets of the Parrots song also on the "Pirates in the Park clip as the pirates begin to sing Yo-Ho. You have to have a good ear out though."

Re: The Little Stuff

Go into the Baby Care Center at the end of Main Street near the Hub. The Baby picture hanging on the wall, is Walt Disney himself.

Not too far from there are the party line telephones. Conversations heard are very comical.

Re: The Little Stuff

I would have to say the cast members calling my children by the character's name that they are dressed up as. It's something that makes it personal to my kids, not just something for every other little kid there. Last month when Wendy and Cinderella walked all the way across Fantasyland to say hello to my little boy dressed as Peter Pan, that was one of the little extra things that makes me love Disneyland.

Also have to mention:
Waffle cone smell on Main Street (although I have never eaten one yet)
Country Bear animal heads in Winnie the Pooh ride
Exit handstamp smell (I would get one eventhough I had an AP)
Mickey shaped ice cream bars
Churro cart smell
Musty smell on Pirates and Matterhorn

I guess I just like the way Disneyland smells really.

Re: The Little Stuff

The train whistle...
Constant live music, everywhere...
The shooting star in Pirates (finally saw it)...
The homage paid to past attractions (heads in Pooh, Eeyore sign in Indy, etc.)...

The list goes on and on; that is what we really love about Disney the most - those pesky little things!

Re: The Little Stuff

There are so many little things I love, but the ones that always make me giggle are the themed plaques on the restroom doors. Like the ones by Space Mountain that have Alien Woman/Man and Child or the ones in Bug's Land with the Male/Female bug people. People were looking at me funny as I was taking pictures of those on one trip.

Re: The Little Stuff

Maybe i'm insane, but the smell of the water on Pirates. I don't know if itis musty, dirty, really clean, chemicals, or what! But i'm sure everyone here knows what smell i'm talking about.

Along those lines, once i stuck my head in the ice machine where I work and it smelled like Pirates! I was so happy! Then all my co workers thought i had lost it.

I love that smell too! Yup, it's basically mold.

It is somewhere in the sky (ceiling) as your boat leaves the dock in the Blue Bayou Lagoon or around the area in the sky where the guy on the rocking chair is sleeping.
