Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

I'm always afraid to post anything because the deals posted mysteriously disappear within a month or so after they are mentioned...

I've seen it happen before. So I will say that if one is looking for "Disneyland" merchandise deals they may wish to consider the outlet which is farther down Harbor (not within walking distance of the park). If they are looking for "Disney" deals there are a variety of retail locations including both Target and Walmart which carry a multitude of character based merchandise.

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

The large souvenir map (when they have them) have always been pretty reasonably priced $5.00(?)

For a collectible, the Olszewski Pokit Pals are $20.00. Not inexpensive but some might find that very affordable for a nice park souvenir.

I went to first aid and got those for free. They also offered to let me lie down in there, but I passed.

For about 4 bucks, the fruit and yogurt parfaits found at various restaurants are very filling and could easily take the place of breakfast or lunch. Not to mention, they taste great!

The ice cream sundays inside of the Horseshoe Review are really big and priced around 5 bucks I think, but they were so huge that I actually remember thinking...Hmmmm a bargain at DL. Plus you get free entertainment while you eat them. Oh...and the rootbeer float was great too. Where can you get a really good rootbeer float nowadays?

The Mile High cake at the Golden Horseshoe is around $5 and it's HUGE. You need to split it between, at least, 5 people.

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

The tortilla factory in DCA. The first time I went through it, I couldn't believe that they'd actually give me one free! They're pretty good hot off the belt too.

Same thing with the bread factory.

Sort of ironic, shortly after I went through the tortilla factory, I rode the Jungle Cruise. When we got to the natives with spears part, the Skipper said something like 'And if you can catch one of the spears, keep it......it's the only thing you'll get free at Disneyland'!

Ok, aside from air, I bought a mug last year for $12. It's great, and I use it all the time!

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

Actually just thought of another, although it's something not purchased at Disneyland. My family and I (mom, dad, two daughters) have 3 different matching shirts, that we had made very cheap. About $10 a shirt. So if your going the first week of December, look for us!

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

I gotta go with the squished pennies! They have them in every land and you can get a list of their locations from City Hall. If you got one squished penny with every available picture, you'd have whole pocketful of jangling souvenirs that would probably come out to be under 20 bucks. If you don't get the list, it's a bit like a scavenger hunt to locate all the squisher-machines (which can be added fun). I stumbled upon the one in NOS by accident.
