Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

IIRC Those basic glass figurines are only $8, and considering the Coraline figurines I saw at FYE which were not as nice and cost $25 for a set of three, I think it's a pretty good deal.

T-shirts are about the same for a brand name like American Eagle, Aeropostale, etc, so I feel like those are reasonably priced as well.

Really, the food is the worst of it...I don't think the souvenirs are too overpriced at all.

ITA on the squished pennies. $.51 and you have tangible momentos of days spent in the park. I seal mine, punch a hole, and thread them on wire with beads for a cute necklace.

And addicting too! Every time I buy a bag, I can't stop eating them. At $2.50 a bag, not bad. I usually end up eating half the bag in one day. I know I'm a sugar-aholic.

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

Back when they still sold these, I don't know if they do anymore, were the princess Leia earmuffs at the star tours store. $13 dollars for really nice earmuffs with wig work on the outside so it looked like her hair. and the wig hair didn't fall apart or tangle immediately like cheapy holloween wigs that cost that much, and have help up perfectly since I bought them two years ago. (plus they matched my hair.)

the squished pennies and quarters.

CHURROS! most other places I've seen them sold were for $5 or more, so $3 is a deal.

Re: Reasonable priced items at dland

I think I'm spoiled on the churros, they're 2 for $1 at el pollo loco, and there's a churro cart by my house that sells the exact same ones as disneyland for $1.50.

I think Market house coffee is a freaking steal at $2.xx and free refills all day. Their cinnamon tea latte is yummy too. You can also get a family sized box of chocolate chip cookies for $4, they have them everywhere.

I think the souvenir mugs are very reasonable as well since you get a drink in them.

The mile high chocolate cake at the golden horseshoe is delicious and HUGE. It was 5.99 the last time I was there.

Farley the Fiddler.
The Bootstrappers Pirate Band.
The Miner 49ers (DCA).
The show at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ (you can stand in the back and watch, even when you're not eating there).
Billie Hill and the Hillbillies
The Jambalaya Jazz Band
The Royal Street Batchelors
The Celebration Band
The parades
The smiles and friendly conversation from the castmembers.

All of this stuff is FREE once you are inside the park, and the musicians are unbelievably good. Beats going to the movies for me.

If you have your birthday button on, they'll sometimes give you a whole package of them.
