    Lockers - $6.00

Went in to get a Locker yesterday, for a couple of jackets and a pair of pants, and guess what (not surprising I know), but the price went up to $6.00 a day....Yikes! Not only food went up in October but so are a few more things going to cost just a bit more. Expecting Parking to get a hike here shortly also!

The only size they have....small! For Wolfette's birthday we had to rent 2, just for the blankets etc. Can add up fast!

We rented large lockers for that price in September- they have large one along the back wall (on main street)

Were the large one's sold out?

there are also large lockers in the locker area to the left of the main gate. They were $6 as recently as about a month ago, but not sure currently.

^ yep, they were 6 bucks a day and I think the smaller ones were 5. Its only a dolalr increase, but it still seems like kind of a rip off. I thought 6 bucks was a little much for the bigger ones, but what are you going to do.

How much are the lockers by guest services and the picnic area? I know they are bigger, maybe they are a little cheaper?

But outside the Park, the larger ones are hard to access. If you are staying inside the Park and just want to pick up jackets......??? You have to go through Security and then back through the Main Gate. Even yesterday, we left the Park from DCA and with hardly any gates open it took quite a while to get back inside the Park. Inside was what I was curious about, can't be many, we could hardly get one/two on Wolfette's birthday!

Yea I noticed even the bigger ones along the wall as DQ said, they have been 6.00 bucks. Since July when my wife and I last used them. But maybe the small ones went up. Still got the receipts

At least you can open and close them multiple times. It's not 6 bucks every time you need something out of it.

    Re: Lockers - $6.00

The small lockers were, indeed, $6 this past weekend. Didn't think to look at the large ones since we only needed a small.

    $6.00?
Wayyyy too much to pay for a locker. Even if it's open and close as much as you want.
Why exactly would they have to raise the price anyway? I can't think of a reason except that people will pay it no matter what. And that's a bad reason.

    Re: Lockers - $6.00

The medium and large (which for some reason they call x-large) are $7.00 and $8.00 respectively.

You can find these larger ones to the left of the main entrance, in the building with Guest Services and the bathrooms. Which means you don't have to out through security, just in and out of the park. Which of course, can take forever, but if you're carrying a rather large tripod, as I was, it makes some sense.

Also note there's a limited number of the medium and "x large" ones, so go for them early if you can.

Six bucks isn't cheap, but considering the cost of the rest of your day, it's spitting in the ocean.
