    Disneyland facts I never knew

Ok so I'm still looking more up but on an app on my ipod it said on the original plans for disneyland there was a land that was never put in I forgot what's it's called but I'm looking it up still and it said that walt had wooden teeth. I never knew this and I'm still looking things up so I will post as I find out
So after 2 full days in a row of walking around disneyland and a four hour practice, I finally understand why my doctor told me to take it easy on my knee I still cant wait to do it again

Someone said Walt had wooden teeth?

I would recommend that you not believe everything that you read.

At one point in time, (I believe it was 1957 or '58,) there were plans for two lands added near Main Street (behind Main Street, if you're facing Tomorrowland) called Edison Square, themed to a residential street with attractions based on the works of Thomas Edison, and Liberty Street, just like Liberty Square at WDW.
As for the wooden teeth thing... I doubt it.

Correct! However, the idea later evolved into what is remembered as Carousel Of Progress.

Walt's wooden teeth weren't his own. They were his neighbor Gary's.

I heard that the street behind Main Street (where the parade now exits) was planned to be called "international street"

Tony Baxter talks about it in the Disneyland: Secrets, Stories, and Magic DVD.

The other land might be Holiday land which did exist for a short time, but was closed early to make room for New Orleans Square.

The third land was to be called Disneyland...oh wait..

Main Street (where the parades are) has never moved. Sure, some of the shops along the sides have changed, but the street is remarkably the same. Tony Baxter (& Bruce Gordon) talk in that dvd you mentioned about the "Disneyland that never was". They refer to the 'land' as Edison Square, just beyond Liberty Street.

It was not closed early to 'make room'. It was closed because it failed to bring in the same crowds as DL. If I am not mistaken, Holidayland had seperate tickets than the actual park. It just couldn't cut the revenue mustard.

Yes, Walt did have wooden teeth, in fact, Marc Davis had animatronic teeth, Claude Coats had teeth carved as stalactites and stalagmites, X. Astencio had plans for many teeth that never grew, Thurl Ravenscroft had teeth that were deeper than anyone else's, Leota Toombs Thomas had teeth that kept floating away, Michael Eisner had concrete teeth because they were cheaper and easier to maintain, Paul Pressler had cheap plastic teeth imported from China and Cynthia Harriss had no teeth at all.
