Aw, c'mon, guys, it's just one of those unfortunate employee photos, probably pulled from the files by some Disney PR dweeb and given to the press at the last minute.

Let's give the guy a break, he's got just as wide a dynamic range as any other DL President, and lots more than Ed Grier.

Look, here's a picture of George taken at the gala DCA opening night management party...

And an action shot as he was running to brief the press during that unfortunate yeast explosion at Le Cheese Shoppe in DLP's Fantasyland...

And a candid snap of his reaction just seconds after Cynthia Harris tripped in front of that ODV cart and landed head-first in a bucket of churro batter...

And this candid shot of George watching the Halloween Screams fireworks:

And this reaction right after Iger's call letting him know he got the job:

On hearing that an attraction based on it is in the works, George sat down and watched The Little Mermaid:

This photo of George was widely circulated on the Internet and purportedly shows him at a surprise birthday party thrown for him by the cast at Disneyland Paris:

    -sigh-

I guess playing "wait and see" just isn't a logical choice for the micechatters.

It was, until we "waited and saw" what Paul Pressler did.

Those of us who still have "Sucker" stamped on our foreheads from that little debacle are understandably less eager to welcome an exec who was high on the food chain at such paragons of un-Disney magic as DCA and DLP.

EDIT: By the way, as of today there are 32,767 MiceChatters, including you and me. No offense, but you wouldn't be falling into that increasingly popular but intellectually lazy habit of lumping all MiceChatters' opinions together, wouldya?

Mr Wiggins... so wrong... but oh so funny... I know I shouldn't endorse judgments based on appearance but it bothers me that this is the "best" press release photo they could come up with. It's still better then Ed though... about the only photo we had was a blurred image of a guy running off stage!

However, all shtick aside, the truth is that we don't know jack about George. I (and I suspect others) are lampooning him based on a bad publicity photo, which isn't his fault; and our memory of the damage done to the Park by a previous president and his regime, which also is not his fault. At the end of the day, we do have to wait and see what happens.

    In the meantime...

Somebody please tell me where I can get a tie like that.

Good question, I don't even think the Goodwill would accept that tie as a donation!
