C'mon folks. Let's not judge the book by its cover. For starters, he's not that invisible stuffed shirt that Ed Grier was. George would be smart to be very visible and supportive. Friendly and involved. Also, will his efforts be supported by Corporate in these difficult economic times? Will he be an advocate for Cast and Guests, or a Corporate stooge like Ed? Let's give George the opportunity to show us. Maybe he'll come to the HUB on Sunday and introduce himself. It could happen.

Sometimes people really bloom when given a new position in a company.
Lose this dweeb and make me president. I'll show 'em how to run an amusement park!

I was nervous when I read the L.A times announcement this morning. Since that time I have calmed down thankfully after reading Al's update regarding George fighting the power of Paul and cynthia and getting demoted for it. I respect him for that and hope that he has Disneylands best interests in mind when it comes to "show, presentation and magic preservation"![]()
I wish him all the best and hope he Will be more connected to the cast and and crew of the park like Matt O was.
Good luck George and welcome back to Disneyland!!!!
Did you say Al's Update????
I had to do some digging but I found his college photo, and he's actually smiling...

Geez you hardly know they guy and you're already criticising him.
Techskip for the Job after that one, Thats a keeper.
In need of a few hundred Disneyland trips! And by the end of the springtime.
George has made lots of new improvements into Disneyland Paris such as the 15th Anniversary and other little stuff .
I'll say ''Aurevoir '' and prove to DL Annual Passholders and other guests that you're a great president and please NO Budget Cuts !!!!!
I haven't had experience with him, but you might want to read a post from someone who has. As well as this perspective from a poster with considerable Disneyland employment experience.

mocking... I believe the comment is mocking... considering all we have is a picture, some campaign promises and a resume to go on. Yes... we hardly know him and we are mocking him in this thread. I did speculate further in another one. This thread is just good clean fun based on appearances. I would hope that George has a sense of humor... because that is a requirement of his new role.
Now in Ed's case we had continually criticized him and we still do not know him because he rarely made an onstage appearance without a camera flashing and a script in hand!
