One of the most interesting aspects of the 50th to me has been the ability to see large versions of the concept art that Walt and his team originally came up with. In one version, which looks very similar to the current park the artist has drawn a hot-air balloon flying high over the park. It may have an aesthitic detail but certainly not without merit.
Now it appears that the San Diego Wild Animal Park is doing something very similar, launching an 800 foot wide balloon that can hold over 5000 pds and drift into the skies above the park giving visitors a bird's eye view.

Do you think Disney should or could look into similar ideas? Imagine getting to fly high above the resort? If not in Disneyland to harken back to the concept art, what about launching from DCA over the farm and wine area?
