Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VIII

I haven't been on "page ONE" of any tracker in such a long time. That means I haven't really payed any attention the start dates to many of the upcoming projects.

We are going to be really spoiled with all the stuff to look at once january/ february rolls around. Not only are we going to see an amazing show in the spring hopefully, but we are also going to see a ton of UPWARD construction, and re theming. Its gonna be awesome!

We have SSS finishing up, we have the premie of WOC and Paradise Park unveiling. We will see infrastructure where TLM will be. The new Entrance is said to begin, plus Carthay Theatre, and shops. There is going to be so much to look at. Plus we will also see more going on in Cars land.

AND best of all we will see everyones most favoritest project of this whole phase one. GOOFY"S SKY SCHOOL>>>YAY!!!!! (sarcasm)....but im still curious i guess to see what they do.

I love the Paradise theme that will eventually include the Park, Garden, and Pier sections of the park. Can't wait to see the the Victorian theming extend out to the restaurants and shops! And I really like the transition between Grizzly Trail to San Francisco street, and into the Park area next to the bay.

any updates on the Pillar Of Mystery..? the wait is killing me... I need to know what that is!
pretty much matches the rambling i just said lol

I'm looking forward to the Goofy Sky School retheming! Not the biggest or most exciting project, but it'll be a big improvement over the current Mullholand Madness. The concept art for the exterior looks really nice.

Wooo! New tracker! I predict with my magical eye:

-an argument over the new paint on the lighthouses
-an argument over how deep the TLM pit is
-a rehash of the wraparound boardwalk
and:
-an argument between MasterGracey and a random person over a random detail.

I also predict to hear words and phrases such as "lipstick on a pig", cohesive, Flying and Airplane, California?, Never finished, Imagination.

Same here! I think it's something small, but very necessary to at least change it a little. Even though it's a temporary theme, I think it'll make a difference, and will look a lot better in contrast to everything around it, like TLM, SSS, etc. than Mullholand Madness would.

Hey, it's a new tracker, let's be optimistic and have our goal be to track, and like Master Gracey said in the last thread, we can discuss the projects, too, if they're relevant to the stuff going on at Disney's California Adventure. I think we should just not start personal attacks and instead civilly share our opinions and acknowledge that everyone's opinions are different, and that's okay, we don't need to try to make someone else admit we're "right" or get them to share our same opinion and thoughts.

Don't forget DisneySea.

Maybe I'll try something new this tracker and just go with it.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VIII

speaking on the paint of the lighthouses....

I think they look nice, my only gripe is that the circles on the front need something... like a medallion or at least a contract color

and does anyone know if they are going to get popcorn lights so that way they light up when the show isnt running?

I just wish Disney would save the money and do the Victorian Overlay on Mullholland and let it be a generic wild mouse coaster. Leave Goofy out of it.

I heard that the PP bay is being refilled from Blue Sky Disney.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? And Is it is true, pictures?

I agree, the Goofy overlay looks like it is going to be very cartoon-y... but i guess thay have to go that route in order to mask the scream wall as to not to disturb the DVC guests.

They state that "soon" they will begin filling bay. They don't give us a start date, just say that it is soon. This could mean anything from tomorrow to a couple of weeks. Once they start the filling it will take 3 days to reach the halfway full point.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VIII

*reads some of the predictable dates*
Jan 2010?
does this mean the front part of DCA will be hard to get around in due to construction?

And also. glad to see the muppets might make a comeback after the Narnia Fallout last year
