    a green popup box

Tonight I was at disneyland with some friends and we were at small world, a entertainment CM walked down the ramp and behind some bushes off to the side, at first I thought there was a secret passage behind the bushes, I was wrong, a few seconds later I see this big green box rise outta the bushes. I was asking my friends if they knew what it was for, and they didn't know, my best guess would be some type of controll box for fireworks... has anyone seen this box before? Anyone have a clue of what it is or does?

I think I know what you're talking about- it's the housing for the projector that's used during the fireworks, that plays a special video montage on the facade of "it's a small world!". It's also used during the "it's a small world!" Holiday special projection show, that goes off every fifteen minutes, after the clock show.

    (insert shameless self-plug )

Here's a video I took of said Holiday show:

(The show starts at roughly 3:08, in the video)

Maybe it has something to do with the projections on the small world facade during the fireworks. I don't know where the projectors are but it sounds like one may be in the box you saw.

Was it about the size of a trash can? Thats how big the projector housing are in front of the castle. There's probably more than one too.

    Re: a green popup box

There are three projector locations used for the holiday overlay on IASW. The center projector is in the bushes pretty much like you described, over the railing from the queue entrance by the big IASW sign and up above the loading area, pretty much straight on to the clock face. The right projector is in the old Light Magic tower across the walkway. I thought the 3rd location for the left projector was on top of the Enchanted Cottage, but since it is currently under tarps... maybe I am mistaken. Maybe it was on top of the Gift Shop... I can't recall now.
I want you to know, nobody cares more about your stupid problems than I do!
