Exclamation Disneyland's Haunted Mansion attracting crows?

Out of all the times I've ever been to Disneyland, there's one thing that still sticks to my mind. It's how The Haunted Mansion always seems to attract several crows.

One incident occured when I was around 12 or 13, we were waiting 32 minutes in line for the Haunted Mansion and then several crows came flying in to the trees, the next thing you know, everyone in the queue is getting bombarded with crow defecation.

While I admit it was one of the funniest moments in my life, I'm wondering to anyone who has been to the parks recently, if a large amount of crows still make their way to the trees at the Haunted Mansion to claim their territory?

I'm going for Christmas this year and I thought it would be funny to see those pesky birds again as a memory of my childhood.

P.S. Anyone have a similar incident with the "Haunted Mansion Crows"?

It had a 7o min wait the other day, I got a fastpass and was on in 10 mins.
Normally Pirates and HM have like like 10 min waits or less during the slow seasons but during Halloween/Christmas they pick up.

I don't normally see the crows over HM, they always seem to be toward frontierland or adventureland

I remember a few years ago, I coincidentally went to Disneyland on "Bat Day." I guess it was tradition for all of the attendants of the festival to meet up at Haunted Mansion at 6 PM..and as I passed by..NO JOKE..hundreds of crows were circling the Mansion. I thought it was SO cool with everyone dressed up and waiting to get onto the ride..

Crows usually seem to hang out on the westside (maybe crows aren't in our future?). I remember walking down West St once in the '90s (we walked to the Disneyland Hotel and walk around go into the shops and buy sweets) and it seemed like there were a bunch of crows on in that area, too.

The last time I was at the park, I saw a crow bathing in one of the waterfalls on the Matterhorn. It would hop into the water, splash around, hop out, shake off, repeat.
More to Disneyland than meets the eye? You don't know the half of it...

Crows have been living in the area for thousands of years, long before Disneyland was ever thought of.

We have tons of crows around our neighborhood (in San Diego) at this time of year. October, November, December we see hundreds of crows in the canyon sometimes. I think they are all over southern California.

I know, but I think the crows often being in the HM area looks really cool against the theming and facade

I completely agree, as long as they don't decide to crap on the guests in the queue in the process.
