    - Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin (Opened January 26th)
    - Disneyland records its 350 Millionth Guest.
    - Lion King Celebration parade opened in January, closed January 1997.
    (and I know it's not Disneyland related, but Tower of Terror opened at MGM at WDW )

    Unfortunately not a lot seemed to happened during my year of birth

    The Grand Canyon Diorama attraction opens in Disneyland, part of the Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad. At 306 feet long, it is the world's longest seamless hand-woven canvas. The attraction cost US$367,814 to build.
