According to today's Register Starbucks is NOT coming to the parks!

I'm thinking that somewhere along the way, negotiations with Starbucks must have fallen through and thats why they switched. Maybe Disney wouldn't give them enough control over how the product was served or something, and Starbucks might have pulled out of the deal. Or vice versa. Any number of things could of happened if this was an actual deal that was in the works.

Was the rumor ever confirmed either way?

I dunno about Starbuck's or Joffrey's, but I have only ever bought one cup of coffee at Disneyland and it tasted TERRIBLE. I don't know who was their coffee provider previously, but it was bad, so I am guessing most anything would be a step up from whatever they were selling before.

I do have to say that the coffee at WDW is a lot better tha the coffee at DL - it is still pretty bad, but it is better if that helps any lol

Disney doesn't comment on negotiations like this. But it appears that they have either gotten snagged on price or contract terms. I'd still like to see the Starbucks happen, but if it doesn't, I hope this new brand of coffee is better than the crap they were selling before.
