Re: Photo Update: Tiana's Showboat Jubilee

So I know it's been established that the regular meet and greet Tiana and Naveen are not the same CMs as the singing Tiana and Naveen, but if you are on the Mark Twain in the guest choir and get the private meet and greet, which Tiana and Naveen is it with?

Oh wait nevermind. It threw me off for a second because the tamborine was in the way, and that the person next to that lady is on the shorter side, just like my friend. But nope, that's not me. I was in the second show.

The singing and acting Tiana and Naveen that are used for the show.

Re: Photo Update: Tiana's Showboat Jubilee

Does anyone know who wrote "Going Down the Bayou?" It sounds very Disney Parade-esque and it sounds like it was written specifically for the show. Randy Newman didn't write that one, so I was thinking maybe they their usual parade composer put it together.

Thanks Pipeek for this great link:

I might have missed this, but anyone know how long this show will be running until??? I love THIS show! It looks absolutely spectacular! I love the live singing..and it's certainly lively! Nice to see they invite lucky guests to be part of the choir on board... wowzers! The music is great!

The show ends Jan. 3 or around that date.

Randy Newman wrote the songs.

Guess YOU TUBE and here are the only way "I" will see this show! Funny, I got to see the Halloween fireworks before my son down there did! On HERE AND You Tube.. I even told him to try to stand in front of the castle when he does go! LOL!

Thanks for all the input.. I've been letting my son know updates from Washington and he is living in Anaheim there with an annual pass and there is much more known from Mice Chat than just going a couple times a week sometimes.

This new Tiana show is awesome... and for some reason the Prince looks like Jake Gyllenhal... anyone? anyone?? LOL!

Wendygirl - I thought Newman wrote everything except the "Going Down the Bayou" tune. But after looking at the soundtrack online, maybe the name of the tune is "Gonna Take You There" in which case I guess he really did write it. It just didn't seem to be his style, and I think Disney changed some of the lyrics to fit the jubilee specifically.

My favorite tune from the show has to be "Down In New Orleans" which is the Mardi Gras parade song. It has Randy Newman written all over it. That tune along with the strutting choreo on the way in would make the parade my favorite part of the show.

By the way, GREAT shot of you with Bob Iger! Very cool!

Thank you. I've gotten to the point in my life where I do not let opportunities pass me by! I've met Michael Eisner (back before things went sour), Roy Disney, Steve Whitmere (the voice of Kermit) and voices of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald and so on. Life is good.

Here is a pic of me and my friends when we did the very first show on the 6th!

I really wish they'd keep this show... it's so much fun.
