Where are the best places to take a Christmas Card Picture?

    Good Morning,

I'm going to Disneyland with my girlfriend tonight after 6 and was wondering where you think the best places are in Disneyland or California Adventure to take a Christmas Card picture. We usually take the ones in front of the castle and the tree on main street but I want something different and not seen before. Do they have photographers in front or near the haunted mansion?

    Thanks!!!

New Orlean's Square has some nice decorations. Toon Town or A Bugs Land might offer interesting alternatives to the standard Castle/Tree shots as well.

The Haunted Mansion is still very Halloween-y if I'm not mistaken, so that wouldn't be my first choice.

The park is full of different (and fantastic) places to take a holiday photo. Though, going after six may limit you with both access to areas, and lighting. The Court de Anges used to by my favorite place for Xmas photos, but it's currently princess and the frog.

There's a nice photo op in between Fantasyland and Frontier Land. Has a sled if I recall correctly. Also, check out Critter Country and a few tucked away places on Main St. There's always a small corner they give a lot of Holiday attention to.

If you venture over to DCA, Flik's has some more "fun" places to take photos (oversized ornaments etc), or they have the new Santa Meet and Greet as well.

Last year my girlfriend and I took our Christmas picture in front of It's a Small World with all the Holiday lights. At night, with all the lights on, it makes a great Holiday picture.

It's 16 miles to Disneyland, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit It.

Yes! Since we always stay on-property during the Christmas season, that is what we do!

There are plenty of photo-ops throughout the three Disney hotels which include the hotel grounds!

    Merry Christmas!

What about the partners (Walt and Mickey Statue) in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle? People were also taking their photos at the christmas tree in toontown, in front of the city hall.

The year before last, we did ours with both Santa and Mrs. Claus and the whole family from the Reindeer Roundup (at Big Thunder Ranch). Last year we did this shot which was right behind the cabin there. Just a little seasonal cart. Very cute!

Wow!! Thank you everyone for your responses! So far I made a list of places to go: Santas Reindeer Roundup, California Adventure Santa, Toon Town Christmas Tree, It's a Small World, and the California Grand Hotel Lobby. Hopefully after all the pictures I'll still have time to go on Space Mountain before the park closes!

    Everyone have a great weekend!!!

There is typically a great Santa in front of the tall Christmas tree in the Grand Californian lobby. Check the schedule to see when he will be available.

Here is a Christmas pic we took a few years ago. This Santa had one of the nicest suits I've seen!

Another great Christmas Card picture place is on the stairs of The Court of Angels in New Orleans Square. Also on the bridge on the side of the castle (with the castle behind you) might be a nice spot.
