Haunted Mansion Holiday Seance Room

I was at the parks on Friday and I rode HMH 5 times in a row because it is so fantastic and during this time I was thinking how bland the seance room is compared to the rest of the house. I was thinking of ways to spice it up and I thought of one I rather liked. What if there was a large Christmas tree in the center of the room and Madame Leota was an ornament?I feel thatwould make it a little more lively! Now there should be more done as well to make the room a little more fun. How do you like my idea and what are some things you think could be done to help that room?

But that would force people to look up and that would be annoying if its the focal point of the room. But I do suppose if she was an ornament it she would not be able to be viewed from all angles of the room.

Nice! Or maybe she could be where she is now and her face would appear and disappear every once in a while while outlines of characters in the movie could appear in thin air using projections on scrims.

You'd have to take the seance table out so the tree isn't so high. However the idea is that she's a forune teller and the table seems needed. Not a bad idea, but I'd vote no.

Personally, I think trying to make HMH less "bland" and more "lively" is the wrong direction to be going, but that's just me...

I love the spinning tarot cards in the room (if only I could get those in real life...but that aside.) the problem, to me, is the walls the card are in front of seems so bland. they need SOMETHING on them at least. even some simple creepy christmas wallpaper or something. nothing to draw away from the action in the center, but just more small details.

also, I'd like more gingerbread/other christmas smells throughout the house. >.>

Leota should fly around the tree and the scary teddy should be at the top of the tree as a tree topper. that would be cool too.

Bleah! I am SO glad when I went to WDW last December that there was no "Nightmare" overlay on the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. I, for one, am not a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas nor its takeover of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. The only thing I think is cool is all the pumpkins lit up that are lined up on the hill at night. Aside from that, I can do without the theme change for the season.

Hmmm, I like the Idea, I think there should be also other ornaments on the tree, like a Hatbox Ghost ornament, a Phantom Manor House ornament, etc(but the other ornaments shouldn't distract Madame Leota, who is in the center of the tree.)

But with what they have now, it's ok(I mean, everytime She speaks, a posseased nutcracker mimics what she says.)

That's true. When asked what your favorite part of Haunted Mansion Holiday is, few, if any, people say the Seance room layover. I think the ornament is an interesting and unique idea. I think it would probably look really cool having her as an ornament, and she could still be saying the same thing, but it would really make the whole room a better addition to the layover.
